is there special "diagnostic mode" to have my ISTA connect to F10 m5?

hi. I just purchased F10 M5. I have had E60 M5. My ISTA connects just fine to E60 but wouldn't read vehicle information on the F10. I'm using bimmergeeks cable. The error window mention something about diagnostic/testing mode. Is there a special mode I need to set on F10 M5 to be able to be read by ISTA computer?

Thanks in advance. sorry for multiple posts. seemed unrelated.

Are you using an ENET (ethernet based) OBD cable?

I think the cables are different for E series and F series and beyond models.

I'm using Pro K+DCAN cable. It says F-chassis should work on the website. The setting should be correct since it works with my e60 m5. I ordered Carly a week ago, so when it gets here, I'll try again. Any advice would be appreciated.

Pretty sure you need an additional adaptor to use that cable with an F series or newer car (like their ProTool adaptor). Or just use an ENET cable.

Good result and sounds like quality support from Bimmergeeks.
