Key dependent settings

I don't have my owners manual since I left it at the dealer. After my ridiculously long visit at the dealer yesterday I only had about 1 minute to discuss the car settings. In my m3 you could go into I drive and there was a screen for key dependent settings. How do I do that in the m5. I cannot find it in the I drive. I checked the owners manual online:
http://www.usermanualsguide.com/down...nual-Sedan.pdf
Maybe it's the wine, but if cannot figure this out. I want my key to be sport sport sport., S2. How do I program this.
One more problem. I let my wife drive the car around the neighborhood.

I have been in and driven some incredible sedans. This may be the best family car, period.
Thanks,
E

Yes, I looked at that. However, the three times I have gotten in the car since I left the dealer the car is in efficiency, comfort, comfort. I have changed these to sport for all three but the key does not seem to be remembering.

Key does not remember the last setting!
Every time you start your car the default setting will be loaded (efficiency/comfort/comfort/D1, DSC ON)
However, the personal profile remembers the configuration you have selected as M1/M2

Well that is a bummer if I have to hit an M button every time I get into the car. I may need efficiency mode for the drive to work to get over 10mpg. I asked my CA today and he thought the car should stick with whatever settings were on when it was last stopped. He was going to check on this for me.
With my E46 SMG the shift speed did stay on the previous setting, but on the E92, it always defaulted to S3.

Actually in M5 shift speed remembers the last setting but just for S and not D!
Check this out:
Set the last setting to S3. Turn off the car and turn it on again. It goes back to P correct?. push the lever to right and it goes to D1. Push it one more time and it goes to S3!

Did anyone figured out how to persist the configuration without the need to press M button each time after start?

There is noway to do that and it's for safety. Think about this way: In your settings for M1 and M2 you select DSC OFF and save it. Your wife wants to go somewhere and she grabs your key and starts the car. She is not familiar with DSC OFF or some indicator stuff for this monster and just pushes the gas the same way she drives her car and guess what happens?
I believe the logic behind this default setting (comfort/D1/DSC ON) makes sense. pressing a button twice every time you get in the car is not a big deal... IMO

My wife does not drive my cars unless she has to
In m3 I was able to set it up in a default configuration, it looks like an extra protection I have no need for...
