Advice for the drag strip

Hey so I'm hitting the drag strip for the first time in my M5 tonight.
Mods: Jb4 Bcm, Dp's
Tires: 295 cup2's
Fuel: Had about 3 gallons of 93 and going to add 5 gallons of VP Ms100

Here's the thing I'm not sure what map to run, i usually run map 2 but with the race gas not sure if its ideal or if theres a different map i should be in.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm interested to see how your SC2's 60 foot.

You might want to consider airing them down to 20-25 psi if you find you are not hooking.

I've heard from some of the fastest that you'll probably want to run a tank or two of gas with the higher octane mix to let the car adapt first.

Need DR's if you want to hook off the line. Those tires will def still spin. So I would go 50% throttle off the line then stomp it. LC is useless. Suspension should be comfort or sport. Everything else sport plus. Good luck!

Thank Arc! I actually read through your review, good stuff helped a lot. I did a bunch of runs today at Bimmerfest East (Englishtown). Track prep was alright, they wouldn't let me go around the water gap so I had to attempt a solid burnout every run. It was around 87 today so a bit hot but overall it was a good day.

Tires: SC2's 27psi
Mods: DP, JB4 (Map2)

As I said I couldn't get the moisture off the tires I spun a bit. How can you tell map 2 was off aside from that?

You don't have combo package and map2 without Backend will wear your clutch hard and could increase clutch slip.

I ran trap times of 127-129 on Map 1 and when I did map 2 I did 124-126(just like you)

Map2 is 22-23psi
Map 1 is 21 psi and study as hell! Trust me.
Go back to track and you will see or if you have Vbox log it
