I've seen a lot of bat out of hell driving on the autobahns. One little hiccup is all it takes especially with the disparity of speeds amoungst drivers sharing the road. I was always amazed at the speeds people drove in heavey fog...they just follow the tail lights of the driver in front and them and when there's a wreck it ends up in a huge pile up. I feel germans for the most part are pretty good driver's. They just like to go fast and legally can which just ups the ante for potential catastophe.

100 % agreed i live in Tongeren ( Belgium) it's about a 25 min. drive from Germany (Aachen) and when a drive on the autobahn (Germany) with 200 km/u (125mph) many cars...fly by...it's f@cking uncredible !!!

Wow, even the dog survived. I'm guessing it wasn't wearing a seat belt like the 60 year old driver.

Very lucky to survive at 186 mph. Ryan Dunn from "Jackass" crashed his Porche GT3 going 130 mph and the car disintegrated. Different circumstances for sure, but the point is that 186 mph is way too fast.

It's really great to be able to legally open it up occasionally when you've got the road to yourself. I miss that!

Stay on your toes in Germany, I've got a couple of crazy ass driving relatives over there.
