But unless you have a measuring tool, how can you tell the difference between 10mm and 12mm? That's a difference of 0.08 inch (less than 1/10th of an inch). Hell, I can't even tell 2 drill bits apart with a difference of 1/10" looking up close. Maybe I don't have as good of a vision compared to you experts?

With a drop, 12mm all around looks best.

I went with BMS spacers, 10f 12r...haven't installed yet as I am waiting for springs (Vogtland or Eibach).

anyway, to your point about the difference between a 10 and 12mm:

The 2mm difference is not noticeable

Hahah, thanks for that. Have you checked if 10mm will clear the hub lip (front)? I was under the impression that 12mm+ is required to make it truly hub centric.

Asked Ando at BMS and he said they were hub centric

They are hub centric if they clear the lip of the OEM hub, which I believe 12mm for the X5M but not sure on the M5.

Illustration below explains why it's important for the spacers to clear the OEM hub lip.

The pictures I posted above show both have the lip and aren't flat like the picture you posted. I'm not sure if it clears or not, though, as I will be installing this weekend.

Understand, but if the spacers can't clear the OEM lip then it won't fit. Just let us know if it clears the front OEM lip or not.

I like the 10f/12r a lot! The lip on the 10mm is being hugged by the middle porion of the spacer. I know you mean by not clearing the hub, but that's not the case with the BMS. All 4 fit nice and snug--they're very well-made.

The wheel pin that comes with the set is an absolute must as you can just hang the wheel on it while you bolt on the lugs. Unfortunately with the weight of the wheels the pin got warped and will need to be replaced for next time's mounting.

Looks great. Stud conversion is a must with spacers. If you do stud conversions, make sure you only tq the studs to spec (around 20lb ft).

Motorsport Hardware make good and inexpensive studs. No pins required.

Any updated pictures of your car with the spacers & springs?

I have a set of Eibach's on order and trying to decide what spacer setup to go with.

Any help/guidance is greatly appreciated
