60-130 runs........

I was able to do some 60-130 runs in my M5 with a VBOX. I didn't really know what to expect. I knew this thing would be fast, but it surprised me....I ran four times and I got 9.3, 9.3, 9.5, 9.5.
Temp was right around 63 degrees, car was in all sport plus settings and I let the DCT do the shifting (<i know that sounds funny). Currently 800 miles on the clock. I know this car has a better time in it than 9.3. I plan on doing more runs after the 1200 mile service to see if there is any truth to rumors of locked power.

Do you or do you not follow break in procedures? No more than 5500 RPM and no more than 110mph? Atleast I see you already broke that part of the procedure

While I agree it is almost impossible to not let the M5 all out, it is very important to keep within the break in limits. If not, you can seriously damage the car, or its life span.

I think my M5 will be fine, I really don't think 400 miles is going to make a difference.

I don't think there is any truth to the rumor that there is more power unlocked after 1200 service. I believe that the difference is that launch control is activated after service but you already have full power now. Difference is most are not using it due to break-in restrictions. I will see in a few hundred more miles.

That is not a bad time. I assume you stomped it well before 60 so it was at full boost/load as you crossed 60mph, right?

I think that time is on par with bone stock 997TT or Pana Turbo (non-S), right? The times in the 5-6 range are from 911 Turbos having 150 more HP and 1000 less pounds of weight....

I hit at 30 straight through to about 140, full boost.

Just for comparison my 997 turbo 6MT with exhaust and tune (very humid, temp 82 degrees) ran 9.0.

Ha ha. I thought you were originally saying that ~9 seconds was SLOW. Agree that it is impressive.

I have the EVT700 kit on my 997.1 TT and it definitely pulls harder, but the F10 is just so smooooooth that I'm not sure I would want to tune it.

Anyone check to see if the F10 has secondary carbon filters for CA emissions? In the early days of the E60, many (including myself) thought that pulling those yielded a small gain.

I think low 9's is very fast, but I also think that the M5 is capable of an even better time......
My 911 has a Protomotive tune and FVD exhaust, its a beast no doubt but the M5 isn't far behind
