MCB Delivered in Dallas
Took delivery of my MCB / Silverstone from Classic BMW. Thanks to Bill Lang in Sales and Arun Menon in Finance for making it easy and a lot of fun.
MCB w/ Silverstone Full Interior 20" Wheels B & O Sound Driver Assistance Executive Package Painted Reflectors installed (Thanks IND) Eisenmann F10 M5 with 4x102mm Round tips (incoming) Modulare B18 Wheels 20" in tinted brush (incoming) Quick Impressions: - car is really impressive. particularly, the shifting is light years ahead of the E60 and it rides smoothly without losing the road feel. - very hard to drive the car within break-in limits. you can feel the power waiting to be unleashed, and i'm anticipating that first drive after the break in service - I ordered the aluminum trim with the silverstone. i'm not completely sold on it because of the mesh-like texture. Someday I'll see the same color combo with Piano Black in person, and then will know for sure - My dealer offers a Tire and Wheel warranty for aftermarket wheels, so I added that. I've had all kinds of bad luck with tires and have found this to pay for itself. - I have the same rear clunk sound when going over speed bumps. I do seem to recall hearing something similar in my E60, but I've been out of that for nearly 3 years. - Can't yet tell if the B&O is that much better. My father has the upgraded sound in his 750, and we can't really tell a difference. That being said, we're using iPod music and can't comment on music quality. Still, it looks really cool with the interior and I'm glad I got it. Pics: for some reason my uploads are posting upside down. here's one for now, until i figure out what's going on. |

Congrats! Looks fantastic. Interesting observation with the B&O system vs the 750i upgraded sound pkg. I am also on the fence about that option.. I would love to hear comparisons from f10 M5 owners
