The only reason BMW is creating the sub-M brand is the competition is strong these days. MB and Audi both have their sub performance lines. Currently, BMW is little bit behind the game now, thus my SA told me BMW has changed each model's life cycle to 6 years. Example: there will be new X5 come out next year.
