Parts system shows a blue strip just like the picture
You loose steering wheel heating if you had that option and you need to transfer all the bits over from the old wheel aswell as the airbag. Else it shows its a straight swap for a 16

The red stripe one is listed under all other 5 Series while the blue strip e one is under the M5.
Not sure if there is any difference other than the stripe color

which site?? plz does description say red stripe? on getbmwparts.com it looks like the one with the red stripe is not for the f10.. could be wrong. paddles are different, also, carbon fiber isn't gloss. https://getbmwparts.com/partlocator/...catalogid=4462 it does say f10 though. ... Never seen this. Parts system says wheel has no heating and cars with heating fitted will loose that feature when fitting this steering wheel.

I was also curious how hard it is to swap out a steering wheel. I have a Full CF Custom steering wheel that i'll be swapping out at the end of my lease.
Edit: Yea no heating element here either |

So when I purchased the car I had the steering wheel replaced with this one at my dealer...I believe they may have ordered and replaced it for me when I picked it up so I may have mispoke when I said (from factory). Also, I have never tried the heating function. It is still on the wheel column and I just went out to see if it worked and can positively say it does not work with this wheel. When activated, the car will say steering wheel heating activated however it never heats up. Sorry for the confusion.
