Exactly. Anyone who wants a better car in 2016 should try a Mercedes. I'm pretty sure I will now that's Mercedes has got their act in order.

Just found it. not sure if it's referring the correct date.

usually every 6-7 years they change the body so it should be 2017-2018 IMO

Mercedes has defiantly gone down in the history books for: worst new model rollout ever.

Their best decision ever was to discontinue Maybach and make the S Class similar to Maybach. In doing that, they redefined luxury and that was one step up for AMG. It separates M from AMG more than ever. Also finally about time they updated their COMAND system, it was so outdated...

They just failed miserably with rolling out the new S Class and S63/S65 AMG. Each month of waiting MBZ fainted further and further into the darkness. And, well, we all know what lurks around over there

Yeah not to familiar with the S rollout, but I like the car. The CLA rollout has been a big success, and I'm looking forward the the GT.

The F10 M5 was launched towards end of 2011 as a 2012 model. So adding 6 years I think G30 M5 will be launched in 2017 as a 2018 model. If it's 7 years it will be a 2019 launched in 2018 as you say,

BMW chose to delay the M5 for the US. Hope that doesn't happen again.

There will always be a delay with the US roll out. The US demands much more in cars then other countries, so they have to make sure it pass all the BS that DoT puts out.

M6 didn't have a delay. M3 and M4 are only a couple of months behind.

My understanding is we would have had a 4-6 month delay, but BMW USA didn't want to launch a 2012 only to have a 2013 come out 6 months later with a major update to iDrive. BMW Canada offered the 2012 and made their dealers notify their customers about the pending iDrive update.
