This argument is pointless. 2 different cars completely with different purposes. Nullcheck's assumption that M5 drivers are old and out of touch is hilarious. I drove a manual E46 M3 coupe for 8 years and made the switch to the M5...and I'm 27 not 67. Go back to the F80 forum and forget about your conquest over here.

First of all, you wouldn't be able to tell the car has active sound unless someone told you. M5 for example is extremely artificial and obvious. M3 is the complete opposite.

Second of all, there is so much exhaust note in this car and it's so much louder than the M5 and the old M3. Whether the noise is good or bad is another question, but it is a loud car regardless.

I heard a M3 at the dealer and honestly it sounded like it had a fart can exhaust, ok not that bad, but you guys get the point. I was amazed I miss that beautiful NA V8 in the E9x.

Go try the M4 dude to my ears it sounds great!
I actually test drove the CTS-V 2014 1 hour before it and it was 10 times better than CTS-V and a notch or two better than M5.

Yep I like Lago. On a side note after watching his other reviews he didn't seem extremely overwhelmed with the F80.

I like Lago too and he seemed to love the new F80 - Vicc55 !!
He just didn't giggle as he did in the M5 review especially the CP but he still called the M3 a small M5 and said it did for him everything he'd hoped it would as a new M3 - and still the rear styling of the new M3 doesn't do anything for me !! Am I the only one who thinks old M3 coupe (Not sedan for sure) looks better than new M3 rear but a tie between M3 and M4 while F80 front looks a lot better than both old sedan and coupe but granted car overall is better !
But isn't it amazing that after waiting long time for the M4 to replace my M5 I forgot about this idea altogether despite liking the M4 exhauste but can't do it just for that

I wish he'd test driven the M4 instead as I am sure it would have left him more impressed !!
