AP is Agency Power.

https://www.agency-power.com/shop/ec...o-s-38l-560hp/

Benefit is that it is completely self installed. No need to go to a tuning shop.

my TTS runs out of guts in 3rd and 4th gear after 80/90mph and defo needs more power/tq in the mid-range. you're right, off the mark is perfect, but in the mid-range it lacks punch. the Cobb AP is totally customisable to enable you to get the boost wherever you want it, depending on your driving style or required set up.

the TechArt kit on the mark 1 did just that and gave it a whack of power in the midrange improving tq just where you needed it. not sure if they've released the power kit for the Mk2 yet have they??

isn't power a wicked thing... we never have enough and always want for more! at what point is there too much power?? I guess when the engine or tranny blows and you got no tyres left...

You don't need to go to a shop for Cobb either so that benefit is a wash- its all via the hand held remote and much cheaper, the AP price doesn't even include the hand held up loader (+250). I haven't heard anything about this AP device but know that Agency Power is Vivid Racing's in house brand. Cobb has all the results though along with GIAC (albeit not as strong).

It is crazy how the 991.1 TT-S market just took off modwise over the last year to year and a half. A simple stage 2 Cobb (hand held tuner, exhaust without cats, and filter) yields a 134 trapper at circa 10 seconds plus a tenth or two.

The real deals is the gains in hp and tq per dollar spent here = very fair numbers for the Porsche world. I think Cobb is around 2100 bucks for a tune which is fair for P cars. Exhaust may vary from model to model.

Sounds like excellent bang for buck! I am envious. We can't really mod our cars here legally. Options are limited. Both the dealers and authority clamp down hard on these

Stage 2 991 TT-S cars shoot flames !!!!! LOL

Just the Cobb alone can be removed and installed in 40 seconds via the hand held and OBD2. I'm not sure about dealer detection though.

Have you owned/own both a mark 1&2 991 TTS? Is mk2 enough of a jump up to trade in a mk1 for?

I have owned both. It's pretty subjective and depends on what your wallet can stand because you will take a hit.

Visually there are some very appealing elements. The infotainment system is miles above. There is a greater degree of rear steer. The HP is up. The overall torque delivery seems a bit better below the curve. The ride seems even more compliant (if that's possible). And let's not forget that magic little "20 second" button on the 918 style wheel

Well yes. I guess it is worth it!

I'll start a thread with pics of my .2 over the weekend for you to see.

Thanks for your reply mate. Certainly sounds like you are sold on the mk2!

I've been given an option to trade my current TTS in with a new one for the same monthly payment and £5k in... So it won't burst the bank just 18 months longer of lost payments...just curious if I would notice any difference in driving.. Sounds like it is and it will be nice to see your pics

Go test drive them if you can? I have owned a TT-S .1 and just test drove both back to back on similar roads at my friends Porsche store; they are similarities and some differences. Of course I will notice more than the layman that tries them out because of my resume but the .2 is faster. The 0-60 romps are negligible because the measurement and times are so close but the runs to 13X is where you can feel the slight change. To me I don't know what I would get in the market in todays moment... a small discount on a 17 or a whopper on a 16 (they are offering me as a friend over 30k off sticker). For me the infotainment is a not a deal breaker but the 17 of course is better... I don't keep cars long but like to do mods and the 17 is not mod ready yet (circa 2 to 3 months out for a tune). I think for me I would get a 16 today and then dump it 10 months from now and get a 17. But you are different since you have had the .1 for a good amount of time already.

Thanks for that Vic. Yes I do need to go and drive one... But no dealers near me have a new TTS to try only the tt...

I'll be daft to swap to the slightly better .2 as I've only just bought the m3! I should be going down the 650s or huracan route as my fun weekend car...
