That's really unfortunate to hear 335iRlz. Some of the dealerships can be really foolish at times.
I hear you M6-Coupe (fixed lol) . Those 8 years without even my E64 M6 were terrible. Now that I'm spoiled with the F12... I don't even want to think about being without her. Shit, even today, I'm at work, and my baby is with the mechanic I miss her not being down stairs!!! Seems silly, but normally I take a ride to the store with my car just because I want to drive her, but now I can't and I feel lost. Lol. Seems ridiculous, but it's true. I never want to be without my bimmer again. Last edited by Warrior75; 04-10-2017 at 01:29 PM.. |

Yeah the 1000-1300 was cool 2 years ago when I did it. Now its a daily driver easy peasey safe amount, 1600 with 35 type spool is kinda the new cool, but from the people I talk to privately anything over 1500whp and a GTR becomes like any other racecar, and you just will break stuff. Might be a crank, an axle, etc. although some get lucky but mostly around there you start seeing problems |

I've owned both... I recently had a 2015 GTR FBO (Intakes, upgraded fuel pumps, injectors, catless downpipes, midpipe, port matched upper and lower intake manifold) running e85 with flex fuel tuning - tuned by a very reputable tuner. You can see my current mods for the F10 M5 in my signature.
I can verify that the GTR will stomp the M5 in the quarter mile and from a stop or very low speed roll at my current mod level. In addition to running a faster time, the GTR will also trap a higher speed in the quarter due to being able to put down nearly all the power immediately and ALL THE WAY down the track. That all said, 100-150mph times or higher rolls and speeds the M5 is faster. Like it or not, it is what it is. I've owned both. I've measured both. Both cars are awesome cars but they have their own strengths and weaknesses. For all around performance the GTR wins. For practicality and a serious highway car the M5 is the winner. I will also say that the M5 is sloppy in handling when you compare it directly to the GTR. You really can't even compare in this department when pushed to the limit GTR is faster around a track. Disclourse: This is my personal experience for a basic FBO GTR running e85 and a Bolt-on M5 with a few gallons of E85 mixed with 93 and a clutch upgrade. There are also exceptions and we aren't talking about really built up M5s or GTRs. Really built up GTRs... NOTHING else can really touch them. As others have stated, the GTR isn't really a direct competitor to the M5. |

Forget the GTR, it’s a much better performance car than the F10 M5. AN RS3 at a little more than half the price can easily beat an M5 at the strip and on the street, an M5 would need a perfect launch to keep up with it... that’s saying A LOT

They're totally different cars, the success of the M5 is that it can compete with so much, but usually when a car can compete out of its class is when it comes with the "its better than" This is a problem GTRs face when going up against real american race cars, yeah GTRs are continuing the push into the 6s with real race drag cars, but they still cant compete with the big american cars at WCF this weekend that will run insane drag times. Still can't beat picking up a used 13/14 for pennies, throwing a tune and downpipes on it and kicking the sh!t out of all but the fastest cars lol |

Remember it’s never a bargain if you don’t want one , and I have thrown in the towel with the F10 M5, too many situations where it can get beat by lesser cars.... lol |

You couldn't get one stock 3 years ago for under 85-88k I lucked out and got mine through a wholesale deal for like 78k.... Now you have FBO 2015 cars with 15-25k miles going for low 60s The cars are being given away on the groups cause nobodies buying them Alpha 10 car that has multiple 8.9 passes and AMS/Shep build track edition limited number is like 90k lol my buddies 2015 white 27k miles, FBO e85 car, with 6k HREs sold for 64k and the bank told the kid given the car they'd only approve 62k of it lol |

One of the best GTR sellers on in the groups, with a tremendous reputation, thats his personal dealership/ car... If you're seriously shopping. Cars probably got 60k+ in it on-top of being a limited edition track edition, and being blue (I think only reds were less made) |
