What are you holding your breathe on? It's a done deal. From what I've read, Aston will be getting a bespoke engine, and the dual-clutch is all but confirmed

the gearbox and the engine are the main I think. you might get a good deal on a near new vanquish since the my15 has a 8 speed zf with some nice downshift features as opposed to the old 6 speed

Vic,

I think the truly most 'sporting' current model is the Vantage V12S, but that the Vanquish has more power, the excellent ZF 8 speed gearbox which you are very familiar with, and frankly looks better IMHO. It would be my choice for sure for everything except road track usage; (and there are much better 'track' cars than the Vantage S).

Thanks Bish--- I really dont think Ill go Aston when I could get an FF (pricing is very close) and for some bad habit reason... I want another F car

But I should research the Vantage 12S more though.

You may have just talked me out of looking at the Speciale again. I get the same high revs, etc. out of my GT3. No need for such a similar experience.

The MAC is a much bigger contrast. And it's faster. And we know that is better right?-LOL

I am surprised no one wants a f12 Berlinetta, I love that car to bits, Its a proper thriller I saw one doing some laps on a nearby track recently and it was mesmerizing. 800k + price tag twice o what i could realistically afford... cant see it depreciating much in the future either since its going to be the last of the great v12s

For the same reason why I won't be getting a GT3, u shouldn't bother with a Speciale. However, u do get a little more by going special, but we are talking serious diminishing returns.

I am probably among the minority here, but I find the F12's front end hugely ugly. As a GT, i would prefer it to be a 4 seater and it's also way too fast for road use. I like something I could enjoy on a daily basis without having to drive at ridiculous speeds. The V12 is a gem of course

Agreed. This may sound nuts but frankly I am considering selling my MAC and just enjoying my GT3 for now. I just love the car. Can buy something else later. Wouldn't mind banking a bit of money either. :-)

GT3 for the win. Test drove one on Saturday. And though i didnt push it too much beyond its limit, the 9k redline is super sweeeeettt.. The way the car feels between 7k to 9k is incredible. It might be time to pull the trigger.
