Thanks, I really think you would enjoy the Hex tune via VF... they are in Anaheim and the gains are strong. But further, the tune opens up the exhaust sound limits and you gain a lot of burble and bark vs the normal competition edition exhaust (which is still miles better than a normal M4).

My dyno showed gains of ~60 hp and ~60 tq.... its clearly felt and enjoyed and the cost is rather tame.

Vic, I moved to north. I might visit them when I'm back for vacation... maybe summer time ... BTW do you have Full Leather option on your car? That's the feature I miss a lot; however CF accent makes the interior so nice on M4

The 666s definitely look better in-person than in pictures. I do hope that BMW delete the hand brake from the M3/4, it takes useful space away and is anyway antiquated.

Has anyone had any better interior shots of the g20 yet? I've seen two but neither showed the lower centre console. Whatever that has will go straight into the M3/4 next gen.

But I think Hand brake is a nice feature especially for this size/style of car and more than that with manual transmission. I hope BMW keep this last sight of driving experience before going to Autopilot and self driving car

Definitely agree about the manual transmission but not sure if handbrake is adding much to our purist driving experience. I learnt driving on a stick shift and would rather preserve the manual trannies as well as the NA motors (:

@M6-Coupe: do you find that your M4 has as much if not more room in the back compared to the M6? when I tried the M6 there seems to be hardly any room for rear passengers. not so in the M4/M3. I guess because the M4 CP seats are lightweight and thinner compared the big comfy M6 armchair seats...

I went with full leather on my m3 and so glad I did as it finishes off the dash and glove box some nicely.

M6 coupe's rear seat is practically unusable in my opinion.

I have the extended leather set up so its not the best when it comes to dashboard feel/touch but the seats seriously are great (comp pack). Its just a great compliment to my M5 when I need to deal with Cali BS traffic.

Yeah mine is the same. Seats are great but Full leather on dashboard was awesome on M6...

M4 has more room on back seat (and not driver and passenger seats) and the reason is exactly what you said. M6 has big comfortable seats while M4 has tinny one. Also M4 is a little taller than M6 so has more headroom .
Full leather is an awesome feature. Unfortunately most of the M4 CP have extended leather not full leather...

What do you think of the steering feel on the M4? I find it a little to tight (understeer) so I run it in comfort mode and its pretty much neutral but still not as pinpoint as my old M6 or current M5.

Well to me it's a lot lighter than M6. I mean on M6 in Sport+ it was so heavy. In M4 Sport+ is as heavy as M6 Sport (not Sport+) . Not bad also since M4 is lighter than M6 (and maybe because of Competition Package), the steering feels precise and car goes exactly where it supposed to go when I play with steering wheel on straight line but on M6 I would feel more stable in cornering ...

I don't disagree with your decision to buy an M4. I've driven one with a Comp Package on the track and it's a far better car than a 2015 model year M4, especially with the exhaust you get on the Comp Pack. I do disagree however, with the color you got. Austin Yellow isn't bad but Speed Yellow is awesome. I saw this in person and it is my favorite color I have ever seen on an M4. Looked fantastic with all of the Carbon bits too!

I completely agree with all you said
I was not aware of this speed yellow... My choices were AY , MG and YMB. I wanted to have the color collection on my cars so didn't have Yellow yet... having sad that my next two cars will be light Blue and Green

Speed Yellow is the Porsche copycat color and very hard to find (Individual) plus its a 5k add. I think you did just fine with the AY.

There's another dealer down the street from me with a PTS Riviera Blue F80 M3. Looks awesome. Another copycat color though.

Vic, how would you like the CP?
I like the handling and stiffness of this car

Its a great car- quick, agile, firm and meets my criteria plus it has that M "feel" that we all love here (or most of us). Ive had mine since early May as I grabbed one right off the truck as an early adopter and really have no serious gripes. I had the car tuned and coded (a must) to eliminate all those annoying factory items including the amber lights, seat belt chimes, nav warnings, etc. Whats also cool is he was able to add a 4th signal blink when I soft pull the lane change stalk and rear fog light (already built in but not activated). I do still think that the steering in comfort vs my M5 in comfort is slightly detached but that's subjective and not a big deal.

Did you get the ROW software add where when you apply the brakes heavily, the brake lights 'strobe'? Super cool effect and an added safety bonus. I had it on the M5.
