I don't know, I prefer the beers and breasts in fours. You can keep the balls-lol

Or better yet, send them to Henry. He needs a pair. Scared to get a GT3!

Obviously you miss out on rear steering, AWD (TT/TTS), etc, but now that they've sorted the looks, it's a serious contender to the 991, if the 'poor mans 911' connotations will not bug you. Obviously nowhere near as fast, but that's part of the appeal to me (drive it hard to get the best out of it).

This video may put into context where I'm coming from, although of course you may get your 'a$$ handed' by M5s, etc., but that's not the point of a sports car IMHO

PS try and look past the state of the S4

Just shows how good a (relatively) slow car can be. Cayman seems to be very balanced and fun! And good god that S4 is in piss poor condition. It needs a more than just a detail.

Porsche just knows how to make anything with 4 wheels handle superbly. Throw in the inherent advantages of an MR layout, add some engineering prowess and leather, and a Porsche sports car is born.

Critical options:
Manual transmission

The next Cayman GTS or Cayman R is bound to be great. I'd happily get one, too bad I am blind sighted by the GT3!

Gentlemen, Happy Holidays and some clarity LOL:

you want to have two balls vs one or none---- no one wants to be Lance or Onepac. Hence my desire to say its best that we keep our pelotas in sets of dos.

Feliz Navidad my fellow car enthusiasts!!!

Best of both worlds. I'm keeping my 987 Spyder for analogue steering and manual tranny and adding a 991 GT3.

If I had the means, I would keep my M5, buy an Exige S and a 991 GT3! One day...

I would need to make such a car a keeper to make it work financially for me, so Spyder (assuming low volume) sounds like it may be a good option, just got to stop admiring the sick 991 GT3 pics that Vic's posted

My question is, if buying car for long term ownership, which would be the best option out of 991 GT3, 981 Cayman GTS or Boxster Spyder (obviously theoretical for the last two, but lets assume they'll be an improvement on 987)?

Just noticed you live in UK. Skip the Spyder - roof is silly for as much rain as you get.

If you can get a 991 GT3 allocation, that would be the best car for performance and most likely resale.
