Drivetrain Malfunction Error

This is awesome. I'm sitting in the middle of a parking lot blocking all traffic and the car is dead. Anyone else get this error before? Any idea what I should expect once my M5 is towed to the dealer? Thanks and Happy New Year.

Let the car totally power off. Give it 10 minutes or so and see if it will restart.

Happened on my 2012 550i. Switched the car on and off and it worked normally again. Turned out it was a fuel sensor issues and they replaced the fuel sensor.

Dammit I wanted to be the first guy with a unique new engine issue...

Thanks for the tips, I was eventually able to get the car restarted after about 45 minutes and it's off to service...

That message is very vague. It represents million possible issues on our cars. The dealer will know what to look for though.
I get the same message as well, but it happens top of 4th gear and it's because my air/fuel ratios are thrown off due to the catless dp's. The car doesn't die and I can keep on driving it, but it defintely puts it in a somewhat limp mode. Not all the power is available.
