The CF Shifter looks ok to me, may be is the picture.

Those parts are kept away. No, I don't sell them. Will install it back to original when I am selling the car and sell away the Performances parts once remove.

Sorry the Alcantara steering wheel is not for sale. That Alcantara steering wheel is exclusive to the 30 Jahre. Will fit it back when I am selling my M5 and I will display my custom Performance Alcantara Streeing wheel at home.

Cheers.

No worries. I was pretty excited about the possibility of getting it but completely understand you want to keep it.

Really like your car. Looks fantastic.

Hi HappyMan, Black Chroming those parts are easy. The Hard part is removing them from your car.

All the Silver parts in your M5 are all Satin Chrome finish by BMW making them all conductive and you can bring them straight to a Black Chroming factory to get it done.

Only 2 parts are not conductive to be chrome. They are the from the centre console. Ash Tray and Cup Holder lid cover, that 2 little silver strip. Those 2 are ABS plastic silver painted parts. Plastic are not conductive so you will need to sent them in to a factory that does ABS plastic chroming first to make them conductive by plating copper on to them. Before you can do any Black Chroming.

Next is the B&O Center speaker. That part cannot be black chrome evenly because of the irregular sharp. Only Black Nickel can does the job nicely. Black Nickel is not as hard as Black Chroming so Extra care are needed.

Here are some of the part done in Black Chrome and Black Nickel.

Awesome modding of the interior.
One thing I like from your interior are the alcantara door handles.

Work from the top, use your tool in between the sliver part and the black sticker part on the gear shift. Stick some painters tap on the silver part top side to protect from scratch.

Pry towards the black sticker side and try to get your tools under it very slowly. Be very careful not to chip or crack the parts. Once you get an small opening push in a toothpick. From now keep pushing in the toothpick until you get a good gap. Now you use your finger nail to lift it up. Your target is to lift up the black sticker from the gear shift. The black sticker is secure by very strong double side tape under it.

Once that is done, unscrew the T8 trox screw under it. Now you can leave up the silver part.

Hope you understand my poor English.

Cheers
Thanks a lot for great explanation but I meant that Aluminum parts on the console which is like horseshoe...

Sorry for for late reply. Was on a 10 hours flight. I did not remove it myself, BMW remove for me. But I was told that they need to remove the centre console first. Under it there are a few screw attach to the under main console. If you are thinking to chrome or anodizing it. You can't because the Aluminium part is hard glue to a ABS plastic part. You can't separate them.

I end up vinyl it with dark Brush Aluminium finish.

If you want a M6 centre console removing instructions. I can ask BMW to email me. I can than forward to you if that can help.

Cheers

Hey mate,

Beautiful car. Just out of curiosity would you be interested in selling the 601 wheels the car came with?

Cheers,
Tom

To each his own - but - you should have just bought a standard M5 with the comp package. That car stock/unmodded is a rare bird that at some pt would have been worth more than you paid for it. Not now.

Beautiful M5! I would not paint 601 wheels in black since you got BBS. I love the original color BMW paints its wheels (I assume its their Pure Metal Silver or am I wrong?)

1/300 produced

Jay-K - the collector value of this car is SEVERELY diminished by these mods. I am actually stunned that someone would do this to such a rare car. If it ain't broke....
