Love the C63 BS just wish it would have had the TT v8 engine instead, especially for the price.. Easier tuning potential.. Nice comparo.

I think that "being more fun to drive" is a matter of opinion? The M3 has walked the C63 around tracks for years, even after MB included the PP package. The strategy of MB and BMW has pretty much always been different. BMW wanted a better handling performance car, with more fun on the tracks, twisties etc. whereas MB wanted a faster car in a straight-line but also a lot of fun. It's a cat and mouse game and has been for years.

NO! DTM cars are more or less the same. RWD, NA 4l V8. Plus with Audi's and MB's consent they changed the rules and each gave BMW one great driver to ALLOW BMW to be competitive in 2012 DTM. All for the sake of sport. I wish F1 and WRC were like that.
LOL!!!!! Give credit where credit is due man! BMW has been out of the game for 20 yrs and they win the title in their first year come back??? And you think it was "ONLY" because Audi and MB changed the rules to allowed BMW to have a couple of great drivers? Wow, man! LOL
Delusion at it's best! Nice try!

i have both of them and expirienced the oposit, the higher the Speed goes the m just Walk away. The 73 hp difference is more then visible (c63 pp) as Great the engine of the c is as way to long is his gear
Ratio. 5 gear over 300 km/h, 6th teoretical over 400 km/h...
Over 150 km/h the m5 pulls so Hard up to 300 km/h ( German highways) that the c 63 isnt hardly visible

Good Video below, that seems about correct to my own experiance

M5 holds the torque well past MB...wicked feat!
But yeah, down low, MB is a monster full of torque.

Interesting, last time I was at eas a stock 2013 m6 dynoed in at at 505whp while my e63 m6 and 2 others came in around 450-465 whp. Your numbers look off the chart given the median number for that motor on that dyno....

MB has more torque but BMW has more Horsepower. The torque amount of torque is only good off the line if you can put it to the ground without breaking traction. The horsepower on the other hand is what will count as the speeds rise.

As for BMW vs MB the BMW is still more fun to drive then MB any day. The MB philosophy has always been to make luxury German Muscle cars. I can understand that philosophy and even like it to some extent. However, I prefer BMW approach of power without control is nothing attitude.

As for DTM you can cut it which ever way you want by making excuses for Audi and MB loss. Bottom line is BMW came back as the new kid on block and kicked ass to win the DTM.

Not sure, seems pretty consistent. 505 seems fairly low, might have suffered from heat soak

It might have been, but it was sitting for over an hour before it ran so most likely not. But then again every subsequent run did show loss after the initial 505 post. You can see it in the eas dyno day post

I think I was 1 of 5 other F10's that were dyno'd stock at EAS. My number was the highest but there was one in the 520's and another right at 530 hp so I know my number was not an anomaly for this exact dyno.

I saw the M6 number too---- It was a launch edition car from what I was told (if that means anything) and it was shockingly low.
