Coming from a F80 and E63 to the F10 M5!

Hey guys!

So I slid from the F80 side to this side of the forums to post this thread!

I am currently a F80 M3 and a 2012 E63 owner and I had absolutely no intention to get into a M5. I was originally looking to get out of both of my cars and into a X5M and then somehow ran across this side of the forums and saw the residuals for 10k miles this month is a shocking and absolutely great 67%!

Since it's been difficult selling the E63, even at a really low price than what it is in the market, I am just going to trade it in instead of sitting on it and throwing money at the monthly payments. As far as the M3 goes, I am looking to transfer that and either keep it that way or get into a manual M3.

I did not test drive a M5, in fact I have never sat in one either, but I have seen some driving in person and they look absolutely amazing.

Mine is coming on Tuesday or Wednesday, it was originally in a Boston dealer but I went through my local dealer so it is being transported (Flat bedded of course!)

I will immediately post some pictures as soon as I take delivery of the car and I will compare it to the F80 M3 and the 2012 E63 in case anyone here was looking to get out of the M5 and into a F80 M3!

The M5 is going to be singapore grey with full silverstone interior, complete interior carbon fiber trim, and my favorite Carbon Ceramics!!!

I have the same color combo but I have piano black trim....I love the interior! My chick has the f80 m3 and it's a fun car BUT it feels a bit cheap compared to the f10.

Hey guys so I picked her up today!! Writing this quickly but will add more later but immediately the car is a lot more comfortable (seats) than the M3 and E63 and the quality does seem to be better.
Right off the bat I can tell this car has alot more torque than the M3 and handles a lot stiffer, the steering is so much better as well. Maybe it's because of the zcp package but I can already say I like this car so much better than the E63 and the M3! In comfort mode the car is actually really comfortable and absorbs bumps well, I went to sport mode on all 3 and immediately felt the difference in sound, take off, and steering. I did not go sport plus yet! I love the bigger screen and the bang and olufsen system, combined with the full leather, I actually feel like I am sitting in a $100k+ car.

I will take a lot of pics and further talk about the car!!

I definitely will tomorrow, what was surprising to me was that the rear doors also have a carbon fiber trim!!! I was not expecting that

Try driving in this set up 90% of the time (so set your M1 button and select as soon as you select drive):

Steering: Sport
Suspension: Sport
Throttle: Sport+
Gearbox: D level2 (adjust on the fly between 1,2 and three depending on traffic, road and conditions)
Traction: MDM

Set M2 to manual and all other settings in Sport+ except the steering which just becomes VERY heavy.
