Changing Interior Trim

Greetings,

I am looking at a leftover M5, however, it has the anthracite wooden trim, which I personally do not care for.

I would like to change it to the Aluminum Hex or perhaps the Carbon Fiber.

Has anyone had this successfully done without excessive rattles beginning?

Garage List
It's fairly easy... they're all on clips, you won't have any rattle issues.

You should be fine. You can ask the dealer to do it for you before taking delivery. They will swap it with another car they have at no additional charge to you, just ask for it. Good luck.

Isn't the carbon fiber trim quite costly to buy? When compared to the piano black trim etc

I think the CF interior trim package is dealer install only (well dealer purchase only) and it costs $2750.

Thank you, Gentlemen.

The CF trim looks sharp in the pictures. However, I don't know that I would
pay $2,750 for it.

For some reason, wood trim in an M5 just doesn't look right. It looks right in a 550 Luxury Line, but not an M5.

I love the anthracite wood trim. The alum trim looks cheap IMO.

Not a fan of the aluminum trim either. That's why I went with ind red sycamore wood. I think it looks great in an M5. Makes the full black Merino leather pop.

I had the anthracite wood in my 2012 535. So it, unfortunately, reminds me of that vehicle.

post a pic of your red sycamore on black... that'd look sharp.

well the carbon fiber oem trim package is pricey but well worth imo.

perfect fitment so no rattles.

i ordered a set of the CF trim for my 2015 m5 along with the performance steering wheel (so it all matches) and with the shifter.

originally my car comes with the aluminum trim
