Aftermarket F10 M5 cosmetic parts

I know cosmetic mods arent as big for M5's, but for those that do, who provides better quality parts?

I'm mainly looking for blackout grill, blackout side vent, and body color (AW) side markers. Am I correct in assuming the front grill is the same as the regular F10?

Also, I know I can hav them painted, but prefer not to as they will chip. I remember on my e46 I was able to buy black (not painted) aide vents and front grill.

Once the M5 hits the US market this place will be full of aftermarket options from the site sponsors. Check the E90post and M3post sites and you'll get a sense of what companies make or sell quality aftermarket cosmetic parts. Off the top of my head IND has this reputation. They've posted on M5post often.

Im thinking we can order the grills (front and side) from BMW (as Performance Parts). Wasn't there a new M5 owner who did that (in another thread)?

I think they are already make aftermarket parts for the f10 that will fit the M5. Here is a site that sells gloss black grills for the f10 m5.

Yea Ive seen many vendors selling parts - thing is I don't want crappy parts. I'm done with parts that are bad quality or just don't fit right.

So Im asking more for people who may have had luck with parts and which vendor they used. I've seen JBSpeed, Umnitza, Bimmian, **********s etc. but have no clue on their quality.

Phish (Azurite M5) did say he got the side vents in black from the dealer, OEM, but I didn't see the grill.

Yes, grills are the same as on regular F10. BMW offers a black grill for F10 without night-vision. If you have night-vision, your only option would be to have it painted gloss (like I did). BMW also offers carbon fiber rear spoiler and mirrors for F10, but I personally don't like those.

IMO M5 side markers look best in factory chrome. It looks very classy in person. Alpine White M5 turns many heads as it is, if you can change or paint something doesn't mean you should. If you make changes, make them humble. Some aftermarket designers like AC Schnitzer and Hamann unbelievably riced the M5 already.

P.S. I see you drive C63 AMG, I easily walked away from one earlier today on multiple races I'm sure you'll love the car.

Haha - Im so sick of my C63 to be honest. The transmission is garbage (Non-MCT). Im getting alpine white also, and I want to eliminate the chrome to match the shadowline trim.

Is the shadow line trim matte or gloss black?

Anyone have the part #'s for the black grill and side vents? I believe I read somewhere BMW calls it the Performance Grill(?)

Shadowline trim is gloss black. You can try painting side markers, it could look great in gloss.

The F10 M Performance black Kidney grill numbers are

Left "51 71 2 165 539"
Right "51 71 2 165 528"
These are NOT for cars with Night Vision

There are no listings for Black side grills.
I am assuming dealerships that fitted them to members cars had them painted/covered fro the members.

The May parts update should be out in the next week, so will see if there are any more parts when the dealers get the update.

Thx man - I guess painting the side markers on my own wont be an issue since they wont be susceptible to rock chips.

+1, gloss black would be a killer.

I am sure someone like IND will be doing those, they are currently the ones doing it for the 1///M as just like in the M5 the factory is chrome and there is no BMW Performance replacement for it.

You can also just find a local shop to wrap the trim for you in flat or gloss black. Lots of people even do this themselves on e90post and m3post. Nothing like a little DIY to feel even more ownership pride.

We are just waiting for BMW to allow NA to sell the parts. With the F10 M5 hitting the Canadian market the parts should be released shortly.

We can do painted front reflectors for North American clients. Also, gloss black trunk emblems. The below photos link to our site. I know people are weary of painting over chrome, however, we spend a good amount of time prepping the items and offer a paint warranty on all items painted in-house at our facility.

*Please keep in mind the prices are a little inflated due to the fact that they are not available through NA parts catalog. As a result they have to come from Germany.

As the North American distributor for 3D Design we will also be bringing in a batch of 10 kits before June. Some secret carbon goodies will also be released in the summer

As an IND customer (have the IND both matte and gloss black painted side gills as well as kidney grills on my 1M), I can vouch they are a top job and great vendor! Thx IND!

Are there any OEM carbon interior parts like those for the M6?
The M Performance parts of the regular 5 should fit, but that M Performance logo looks tacky on a real M5

Just to clarify - IND uses OEM parts and paints them? Was just curious as many vendors sell painted replica parts and fitment is often an issue.
