Happy with Meth?

Hey guys, i am considering adding meth and was wondering your thoughts on adding it to your M5? Since i have JB4/BCM i was going to use that to control it. I know alot of it has to do with a knowledgeable installer, which luckily i have found a experienced guy in Miami.

I am almost at 40k miles, have an aftermarket extended warranty and been lucky with an amazing SA. Would you recommend doing it?

You need a secondary fuel source for anything over 750whp....

I use the BMS system and have had great results - you can use what ever tank you like. Just use compression fittings where ever posible on the pressure side.

Make your own 50:50 mix or what ever level you deside on.

Have you desided on jet size yet - I run 2x #5 @ 50:50

Getting a quote for a kit tomorrow with upgraded fittings/lines that will be controlled by my JB4. I'll ask what size nozzles

If you are on standard clutches and set for ~23psi #5 are fine, if you plan to shoot for the stars later you can go to #10's. Playing with the meth/water ratio up from the 50:50 can change the AFR up if required as well.

Its very hot here in Oz (<45'C / 120'F) and the #5's keep the temps, ign timing and AFR well in check at 23psi.

I figured you were using the BMS meth kit but I was curious to see your results and figured I'd post this for anyone looking to go meth who are bootmod3, flash tune only, etc who aren't using a piggyback :-)

Still good to pass along!

Decided to go ahead and get it installed. Going to drop my car off over the weekend and they will install it while I'm out of town for work. I will pick it up next Thursday. I'll post pics when I get it back

This was my Aquamist set up - I now run a BMS 1 gallon tank in its place, for my use the Aquamist tanks were to big - one fill up of water/meth would have lasted over 3 months!

Nothing unless you need the trunk space - I had a family trip away to contend with, but not to give up on the performance the meth adds I swapped to a smaller tank.

PS the Aquamist tanks and fittings are top notch.

Picked the car up today and wow what a difference! Had JB4 Map 8 tuned only to 23psi for now, clutches started to slip at 24+
