F10 M5 Corsa Sport Review
My score will be based on a 1-10 scale for each category.
1. Price 2. Corsa Customer Service & shipping and packaging. 3. Quality and Fitting 4. Looks 5. Sounds 1. Price: 10/10 The Corsa axle back system cost me $1260 shipped to my house from Ohio to WA, ordered on Auto anything with a 5% discount. This system cost 1/2 to 1/3 of comparable system (Eisenmann, Dinan, Supersprint etc.) and cost on par with the Turner Exhaust. 2. Customer Service 10/10 I ordered on Autoanything.com on the 4th of December and was quoted shipped between 9-13 Decembers. I called Corsa and track my order down on the 6th of December and asked one of the customer service to see if they can shipped it by the 9th so I will get it by the 13th. She said she will call me back on Monday and let me know what she can do. On Monday, she left a message on my phone saying the system will be ship out today and will be there on the 13th. 3. Quality and Fitting 8/10 The quality of the system IMO is on par with RPI system and Dinan axle back on the E60 M5 that I have in the past. It will not win any beauty contest but it not ugly either. The weld looks normal and of high quality and craftsmanship. Fitting took a little adjustment here and there, nothing serious; took the mechanic an hour to fit both. See pictures below. 4. Looks 9/10 The exhaust looks perfect on the car IMO, I ordered the black tips and it match my MCB perfectly, the black tips emitted a burns colored (see picture) when up close and far away at certain again when lights hit it, I recommend the black tips over the white. It seem like is crystal black instead of gloss black like the black cyba tips that I used to have. 5. Sounds. (3/10 for those that like boom sounds, louds and some drone) (9/10 for those that like quietness 95 percent of the time and only get loud one you really step on it). Overall I would give it a 6/10 The topics is very subjective. I do not own other F10 M5 besides the Turner exhaust so my review will be based on the Turner. Let’s said OEM is 1 and Turner is 10 on the loudness scale. When outside, under WOT you will hear an F1ish pitch and barely boom between 1 and 2 gear (whereas Eisenmann give you a deep boom, deep bass, or whatever that sound is during WOT) and, loudness will be at around 8. When inside, is OEM like (maybe 1-5% louder when the music is completely off) under WOT, loudness is noticeable louder than OEM (10-15% at most). Turner on the other hand, you will hear it clearly during normal cruising, downshift, music on or off, and mass drone during 1500-2000 RPM that is unavoidable. On corsa, there is NO DRONE whatsoever. IMO If Turner exhaust sounds turn you on, Corsa will definitely turn you off. From watching you tube and what I have, here are my break down of WHAT I THINK sounds good from my experience. XXXX Mclaren MP4-12C 10/10 (saw it past by me while I was in SF, CA) 2006 E60 M5 with Dinan axle back 9/10 OWN Akrapovic 9/10 ONLINE Supersprint 9/10 ONLINE RPI GT/GTS 8/10 ONLINE 2005 Infiniti G35 with HKS Ti 8/10 OWN 2006 E60 M5 with RPI GTS 8/10 OWN 2012 CTS-V with Borla Touring 8/10 OWN Eisemann Sport/Race 8/10 Turner 8/10 OWN Dinan 7/10 Corsa 7/10. 2013 F10 M5 with OEM 4/10 Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase. The Corsa gave me what I was looking for. Good price, decent look, big tips, louder than stock under WOT and no drone and quiet during normal cruising. After all an M5 is not a boy racer car. I want something that sounds mad when at WOT but a gentleman when relax and the Corsa delivers. As for sounds, I think Corsa did a decent job in this department. It clearly does not sound good as those 3-4K system out there but at the same time it offer no drone at all, something some of those system does not offer. To me, I can give up some sounds for no drone. OVERALL, I GIVE THIS SYSTEM AN 8/10. Thank you. And enjoy the pics. |

Price is now 1799 on Autoanything? Was it on special before?
It's a fully bolt on system with no cutting or anything right? Also sent you a PM asking a few questions as well.... Can't find it anywhere for 1260, maybe you mean 1760 Last edited by Keebeen; 12-17-2013 at 03:45 PM.. |

The f10 M5 oem exhaust is one piece from header to tailpipe. The only way to avoid cutting is to replace mid pipe and rear. I believe the corsa is a rear section?

Unfortunately, when I got the Corsa it was on sale for $1,327 and they gave me a $66 discount which bring it down to $1260 shipped. Was it a mistake? I don't know it was a hella of a discount compares to similar system. If anyone interest, I posted my invoice link so maybe you can haggle with them. IMO even at $17XX it still well worth it compares to E-Sport/Race system.
https://secure.autoanything.com/Acco...FD78084CAABC10 You will have to cut the rear muffler out and install the Corsa or any other axle back system in. |
