Guys there is some good information here. I think this is the place to ask specific BMS tuning questions. I don't think Terry can comment here. Instead of speculating, probably better off hearing straight from the source.

The S63 has the same boost programming as the S55. It only applies full boost in high temp, high altitude situations so that it achieves the same performance even under far from ideal conditions. At sea level and normal temps you will not see the full boost.

I think the usage of "full boost" here is a bit misleading. Full boost means hitting boost target. At any condition cars will hit their boost target so in other words they will go full boost, it's just the targets that may vary in different conditions (temps, altitudes etc..).

I guess it all just depends on the definition you choose on "full boost". If full boost is defined to mean the maximum achievable absolute manifold pressure, my use of "full boost" is correct.

However if you define "full boost" to simply mean the maximum target boost for the conditions, then yes, it always achieves "full boost" even though that might be 7Psi below the absolute maximum boost level.

I would prefer to say that the engine reaches it's target boost in all conditions, but that the target boost might be lower than it's theoretical/achieveable full boost pressure.

That's strange. I have TC come in 1-4th gears on my OEM spec car.

No traction control here.
I control it with my right foot. Keep in mind I would only do it while going straight line. MDM in the twisties.

Boots, it would be great to have some independent dyno tests. I didn't do that.

My 0-60 times are actually slower, as it's hard to get traction.

Supposedly the ECU may need time to adjust, so you may want to do dyno runs after some driving. I'm not sure if this is really true or not though. If the piggyback is tricking the ECU into thinking it's boosting less, I'm not sure why it needs time to adapt. Anyone?

You need to try race gas and up the boost over stock.

In theory it should be recognized right from the start, but it seems that our ECU's are very inconsistent with the time that it takes to realize different variables. I would suggest couple driving cycles with couple WOT pulls and it should be good to go.

Don't worry. A couple of engine cycles should only take me about 30 minutes doing the posted speed limit of course. Lol I found out today I will not be able to Dyno before so I'll just get it installed and then Dyno after-the-fact best I can do

Yeah just do it. I think we have enough data logged. ET's are all over the map but trap speeds are within 1-2mph from coast to coast. Mine is sitting in my back seat. I only have about 1300km on the car, was hoping to getting a few more before strapping the module on. my 19" drags are in, but the track is resurfacing the 1/4 mile this weekend. WTF!

I got my Bms installed today and I broke it in tonight with some strong azz pulls. I can report that mid range is stronger. 3rd gear spins sometimes at full pedal runs. Above xxx the car seems to really pick up speed. First runs I was using the paddles. Now in MdM the car is really faster now. In that mode, I think I really had more fun at one point I said yea the damn thing is faster and started laughing. 2nd-3rd gear was fun. You wont know unless you get one and let the ecu adapt. Try this one in MdM w/ trackson off...not fully off. 0 speed, then stomp on it. So much fun. So yes I am a believer. Ok that's my review. I got to add more camel toe pics to my car chick thread.
