Order canceled :-/

So I feel like I'm giving my baby up for adoption and I haven't even gotten it yet. She's en-right to the US as we speak. After a several issues with my property management company where I live, I will not be able to obtain an additional parking spot as I had originally been promised. Myself and my fiancé have a tandem lift in our building's garage. I need to park on top of the lift due to our schedules and the M5 will not fit on top. I was planning on getting a small beater for the winter and storing it on top of the lift, and getting an additional single spot in the garage for the M5. this will not be happening. So it looks like I will be putting off the M5 for about 12-18 months at least until we get out of here and get an actual house. I am so frustrated by this but I know it will be worth it in the end...

On a side note, I traded in my G37 for a 2014 Q50S AWD hybrid to hold me over. This hardly fits on the lift as well... First world problems...

The back tires are at the very edge of the lift. The M5 would be hanging off the end to the lift :-/

Not an M5 but it will have to do for now

That's a shame, but at least you are wise enough to know now isn't the time to have the car

Best of luck when you do get your M///

The Q50S is a nice driving car. I had one from Hertz last month and I quite enjoyed it.

Pain about the garage. I have same issue right now and it's holding up my 991 purchase until I get a house.

Thanks Stealth. It's a HUGE upgrade in quality from the G37. I like it overall. It's quick too. Not Crazy fast but its fun to drive. They hybrid give a good amount of low end torque, and has more HP than the standard gas version witch I was shocked by.... I was thinking getting the new M3 but I just wanted out of my G37 ASAP and didn't want to wait. I'll be aiming to get in to a M5 again probably in 18-24 months. But I find my self wondering if I should wait till the next generation M5 as it allegedly will have AWD which will be a HUGE benefit in New England...

Agree, it's drives and looks quite good, but when I had it for a week the battery died two times. But I still prefer the 550 over Q50

Moving is in the works. My fiancé is finishing school this semester and will have her RN. She should have a job at the hospital she's been working at for the past 6 years. At that point we can start house hunting :-)

Ever since I moved to the East Coast, I feel your pain on the parking situation. I have no reason to move into a house other than for car reasons right now. Lol! I can come up to Rhode Island and let you drive my car in the summer if you want.

Dave, feel free to come up to RI some time. I'll take your car for a spin lol The summers are great here. Have you ever been to Naval station Newport?

Different league. 550i is almost twice the price.

Dude I was stationed there for a year over 10 years ago. I know the area very well and I have fond memories. Would love to visit some time, especially when it gets warmer.

Yep, first world problems, but I feel your pain. A couple of years ago we went to Japan on a 4 year assignment. Before we left everyone we spoke to that had been there before warn us not to take our vehicles! Good thing we listened. We ended up getting the Toyota with the styling wheels!

The parking space was so tight I had to fold the mirrors before driving in or else the structure would rip them off!

I thought about the 550 M-Sport but I would have faced the same size issue. Ironically I just ran out to grab a coffee at Dunkin and already found curb rash on my wheel from the lift. My wheels were pristine in the G.
