Those numbers are from a magazine? Or official BMW numbers. Your M6 destroys these numbers
I have seen some run 7.2 sec 100-200 in a stock M5. Still haven't tested mine yet, should be at those times too. With +3 psi BMS stage 1, close to mid 6s. Getting new engine now as the other was not idling as it should!

Downpipes with race cats? I highly doubt it. Jahre is a emission legal car in the US, plus a normal CP beat it both in acceleration times and track times.

It seems like you really hoped Jahre has something special (and honestly maybe it should), but unless proved otherwise I will just use Sport Auto's test result as the standard, that there isn't really much of a performance difference between the CP and the Jahre.

Didn't motor trend figure a stock 552bhp M5 at launch with 3.7 to 60 and 8.1 to 100mph?

As far as I know, it IS the CP with a bit higher boost. Performance wise it does not even differ from the non CP!

Given the traction limitations of the CP M5, wouldn't the differences really show up starting at higher speeds? Do we actually have real world numbers for that rather than estimates? Look like the 12.1 above is an estimate (I assume that is what probably means).

On another note, does anyone have any commentary of CP in combination with the half inch wider wheels--seems like maybe that would help?

Traction is the M5's enemy especially in 1st and 2nd, I'm surprised the additional 40hp of the Jahre gives it nearly 1/2 second off the standard cars 62 time, but I believe the CP/Jahre has different bushes/dampers/DSC/roll bars etc...and some of that was to address the lack of traction in the standard car.

But the road tests don't show the difference?

Hey, not possible to do it as the ECU has a "DMEtimer" it locks after 10 hours. Only way to do it is to open up the ECUs and reset this timer, then you can turn your car into 575HP or even 600HP M5 or M6.

Can the information be shared somehow ?
I wouldn't mind opening my ECUs and modifying them.

Thanks

If you open it, then it's best just to change the calibration to match the 600HP version Depends on the production year/month. 600HP only applies to 2014/07 and up. MEVD17.2.H

We've had this file for a very long time...

You'll need the proper certificate for it to work or the file you have now edited properly with the changes.. This file is nothing special.

The run time timer and certificate requirement are two different things.

I don't believe the timer applies in this case, should just be cert based, but haven't tested it.

Why settle for 600hp when you can get 800hp from a flash tune +JB4 ?

You can't flash the 600HP software to the cars produced <2014/07 as they run MEVD17.2.8. It only applies to models with MEVD17.2.H 2014/07>

Actually you can get this upgrade at BMW for the M6 IF you already have the competition package and your car is newer than 2014/07 (prod. date)!

Correct - was referring to the electronically wastegated setups. They didn't offer it on the mechanical setups. The reason you can flash it to the comp pack cars is likely because of the 7E "performance package" cert, but you can modify the calibration space to ignore the certificate requirements

Nope, you can't flash it to M5 2014/07+ either.

Also, you can do what you say inside the calibration, but once you are there, you can go different routes lol

But, doesn't apply to EWG only it applies to PWG

If you are going to flash the car (outside of the dealership)... why bother with the Jahre flash? Either way warranty is hosed, so just flash it for 750hp vs. the paltry 600
