Uneven heating of air intakes

I have recently noticed that one of my air intakes is retaining more heat than the other. What could this be caused by? The car has just had major service with new air filters. My first thoughts are restrictions before the snorkel (1) and filter (2), where should I be looking?

Also wondering if any of you know if it is normal for the intakes to get hot (feels like 60-70C). Any advice is much appreciated.

Note that charge coolers (6) remain cold as you would expect, so unsure if the above problem is an issue or not really.

Did the UK M5/M6's get the charcoal air filter? If so I'd check them to see if one or both are there.

UK M5's haven't got charcoal filters.
