Pics of 601M wheels...
I'm having a difficult time deciding on 601 vs 343 for Singapore Grey. Any input and/or pictures would be most appreciated.

343s on my SG.. definitely nice looking rims.. Had the 601s been lighter I would have considered them but im not a fan of adding any more weight to the car.. Especially unsprung weight.

601m all the way - not biased at all
Oh geez, how is it not so obvious - the 601m anchors the car more with 7 spokes and adds to its aggressive look. With that said, go get he 343m's so that you don't cramp my style
These are all photos of my car that I've taken. Some iPhone pics and others on my SLR, to give you perspective on different lighting conditions and angles.

lol, had the same issue. Went with 343M (black) in the end, but the 601's are sweet. However, I ordered azurite black. If I went with SG, I would've ordered the 343M's no question. Of course, having the E92 M3 I'm tired of silver wheels and brake dust. Hope these are are different.

All I can say is I have the M6 GC CP and made sure I got the Forged 343M alloys, as the CP ones are cast.

Absolutely love the 601's with Singapore. Just look at @Loft23's pics. Simply stunning. Though I have to respectfully disagree with Lofts opinion that the 601's are more aggressive. I think it's the other way around IMO.
No matter what you do, I would just suggest not getting black with Singapore. To me the wheels blend in too much with the body. Just my .02.

Forged vs. Cast, weight difference...UGH!!! Every time I feel I've reavhed a decision I find myself second guessing myself. Is it true that there is a considerable weight difference between the two? Also, isn't forged stronger?

That said, despite popular opinion, you'll never notice the difference. IMHO of course. I'd buy on looks - whichever you prefer.

Does anyone actually know the exact weight difference? I see 5.5 lbs at some random forum post, but there is no data behind any of the threads. We need someone to actually take the two and weigh them. The forging process is usually more expensive and therefore the higher cost for its products, but depending on the complexity of the design, sometimes forging is not an option. The 601's is more intricate in design and is not something that can be pressed and stamped into. In theory, casting is lighter because as the molten metal cools down in the mold, there are trapped gasses making it less dense. The only problem is strength as it is more brittle compared to forging. For the same mass, forged metals are more dense and therefore stronger. With that said, there are various types of casting methods that will provide the strength and weight savings of forged but at a lower cost. I don't doubt that the 343's are lighter but It would be good to get an official weighing.
