Brake service light

Hi!

I recently got the brake service light on my 2013 and dealer said they will only replace the pads. The rotors look really bad to me but they said that they don't need replacement. Anyone have both pads and rotors replaced under warranty? Any tips would be appreciated.

Warranty isn't for wear and tear items like brakes.

But it sounds like you want to go against the dealer's recommendation and buy rotors.

The brakes are covered under the maintenance plan. I have known my SA for 12 years so he takes really good care of me. He did both pads and rotors at my request. You could ask for a rotor measurement or try another dealer.

take it to another dealer. depending on when the last time rotors were changed, you should be able to get it done under maintenance (free)

Thank you. Wouldnt the second dealer know that first dealer denied?

It's not an insurance entity. You should be fine.

Do you have the BMW maintenance plan? Not sure if you were clear on having it or not since you said "warranty".
