Just a quick note for everybody: Because a number of us won't get out of work before 6pm, we will now be meeting today at 6.15pm at Joe Canal's on Rt. 1 in Princeton/Lawrenceville in Mercer Mall. Drive will start at 7pm.

All systems are go!

You're absolutely right, they are after money. If that's what it comes down to then pay fine with no points. You have a case, don't just pay and walk away and accept the points, these summonses in my opinion are bogus and any judge will see that.

No, I would not just accept these bogus tickets secretariat. Which is why I have already signed up with a traffic lawyer. I will let everyone know how it plays out. Just have to lay low for a bit.
As far as a drive tonight, I would love to meet everyone and have been really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I have come down with a virul infection and don't want to pass it on. I am hoping you guys let know next time you guys go for a drive. It would be my pleasure. Enjoy!

Raj, Champagne is the best cure against viral a infection ;-) I had a surprise for you as well. Too bad that you won't make it. Next time (in two weeks). Get better soon.

(H), you are on in 2 weeks! Looking forward to the surprise. I just didn't want to pass the bug on to someone else.

Have a wonderful 4th!

Cool to see that you guys found each other here on this forum!

968 turboS: I hope everything goes well with the tickets and that you can walk away from this with just a good story and not a bunch of points on your licence.
And take that car down from the lift!

(H): After having one of those weeks when you start to loose faith in all of humanity it's nice to see that a person actually cared for and felt bad for a total stranger as you did.
Might sound silly but it actually made me happy.

Have a great weekend folks!

+1. I was feeling the same way after my tickets until I came across this thread. His feeling sorry for my situation made me feel much better, which is why I decided to register and share my end of the story with everyone.

Now that makes me happy in turn ;-) Seriously.

Funny how the week ended on this really sour note of my Singapore Bird tanking. Car is at dealership and I don't even know what's going to happen. Insurance will be looking at it later this week.

Doesn't look like dealership will give me F82M4 as a loaner - bummer ;-)

Hi guys, just wanted to give everyone an update. Had my court date this Monday. Zero points and two non points violations later, I am off the hook. Total penalties, $428 plus $475 for Lawyer fees. All in all, not too bad considering the speeds we got to.

Let me know next time you guys are getting together.

Regards.
Raj

968 turboS, I am so glad to hear that, although the fine still stinks. Time to meet on any of the next Thursday ...

After some six weeks, I finally had the pleasure to meet Raj, aka @968turboS. The matter has been brought to a wonderful end. Together with a fine group of ///M cars, we revisited scene of our initial encounter, I-95. At elevated speeds, we enjoyed a great cruise around central NJ and PA (more on separate posts about that).

As promised, Raj got his bottle of Champagne (I made missing vintage up with size ;-) but of course I couldn't help but also getting him some proper ///M attire ;-)

Thank you all for living through this with Raj and myself. What a wonderful community. Many more awesome encounters ahead.

In case some of you might not know H, he is a total class act. I was very overwhelmed by his generosity. What an awesome guy. I am hoping we get to drive together again and lets stay in touch.

Regards,
Raj

Just to confirm: We are on today, Thursday 14 at 6pm at Joe Canal's in Lawrenceville Princeton. I have a new improved route with even more fun than last week and we can hang out at TGIF or some other place afterwards if you want. So far we have 13 cars confirmed!

Looking forward to seeing you later today.
