Henry nice looking machine and fantastic color combo. The verts are about 300 lbs more than the F82 M cars though right? Which does tend to negate some of the weight savings over the M5. I think if I was to go vert again (had an SL63) the M4 makes sense.
Thanks Vic ........yes it's heavier than the coup for sure due to the metal roof. Slightly lighter than the the M5 but also missing the girth. Drives mush lighter than the M5, and it's a fun DD driver for me to tool around town of course with the top down. I considered the Jag but I wanted rear seats. I guess I'm at a point where I'm over big cars, and if you recall I pinged you about the RS7 couldn't pull the trigger there same problem as M5. Porsche Pani drive the turbo on the Porsche track and it's a boat. I landed with the M4, power, size, and very nice interior with good electronics. I will pick her up Friday so I have two days to change my mind(: Still can't find a better DD for my needs help

Almost picked up a mineral white with black merino leather, but I think this combo pops.

Here is what I don't like and I find unacceptable in an 85K car especially from BMW.

1. I live in Florida and the A/C system sucks. Loud, no Sync button, poor Auto operation. Poor cooling. I have checked others they are the same as mine.
2. Sound of engine. Are they kidding? Just awful IMHO. They should fire the guy who designed the exhaust system. I had a 1M with a similar engine, why couldn't' they at least make it sound like that car. Even a 435 sounds better to me.
3. The overall weight of the car. Especially the roof on the Vert. Why couldn't they at least make the roof out of Aluminum to save some weight. The car is a real porker compared to the sedan and the coupe.

In hindsight I kind of regret buying the car. Hate the sound so much that I might just get rid of it. Won't buy another performance BMW again if that's the direction they are going in.

Congrats. Love the color combo. I too was a f10 M5 launch customer (ED 9/7) and also attended the launch in Spain.

Have to say I'm over the weight of the M5, looking for something lighter and more nimble. Passed on the GT3, next in line for a GT4. I think that'll do

Ha funny I think I was the 9/7 too time flies! I would have gone GT3 over the 4 .....the GT3 is amazing if you have not driven one! I just need a good DD, and I can toss around from time to time. The hard top convertable was really appealing.

Each to their own and best of luck with the decision. I unfortunately think you might be disappointed in the M4 Cab, it's heavy and it sounds like a lawnmower with the top down IMO. I trust you've driven one at the dealership WOT ?
I would probably look at the AMG GTS if you're having issues with weight of the M5 and don't want to have to buy a GT3 second hand for above MSRP..
Personally, I am very happy with the M5, I sold the first and missed it so much that I got the second one. It's a pig but I love the power.

None taken buddy, thanks for the feed back that's why I value many of the members here. My first M car was a 2002, and I traded it for a 7 series I know crazy. Before my M5 I had a 650ic so the M4 is a cross between the old M3 and the 650ic ........it's a car that will do fine as a DD and some fun of course. Heck now I'm torn I had the dealer bring in a mineral white will full blk interior.

Vic it all worked out and can't be more satisfied with the drive and the handling. Not pocket fast like the M5, but 100 comes up really fast. Workers well with the GT3, and the full leather is great. Thanks for the tip on white.

Both King and Queen are great cars in their class no doubt...
The issue is those people (M3/M4 forum) don't know their limits...
It's funny for me when they compare M3/M4 with M5/M6 and call M5/M6 boat, pig , vessel, etc...
We may ask OP in couple weeks to post a thread and write up about his experience with Queen

So far the queen is living up to expectations , it's really a good car. To compare M5 and M4 is pretty dumb if I say so. Enjoy the cars for what are toys.
