Took my car to Byron Dragaway

So I took my car to Byron today after installing the catless AMS DP's, I already had the Eurocharged tune. So today was a very hot day, it was already 80 degrees by 8am. My best run of the day was an 11.71 at 121.45 with a 1.97 60'. For this run I had DSC OFF and I was in D3 everything in the top settings (forgot to put suspension on comfort) and all I did was roll on the throttle. The track was prepped incredibly well so I didn't get much wheel spin, if any at all.

Here's the info for my 11.71 run.

Here are my slips. I'm #7

So a few hours later I decided to try launch control. All was well, I launched and did a 1.88 60' as I was going down the track about 75 feet before the 1/4 I heard a loud DING and it felt like I slammed on the brakes I looked on my screen and there was a malfunction (it ended up not being anything, I cleared the code and it hasn't come up in 150 miles of driving) I assume it was down-pipe related since I've had the CEL on (haven't received computer from Eurocharged so I could re-tune and get rid of it). But the fact that I did a 12.1 at 95 mph I think I could've touched 11.5's had that not happened. Overall, I am very happy with my times considering my best times were 12.0 the two previous times at the track. To be fair to the other tracks, my best times then were 2.2 and 2.1 in the 60 foot.

12.1@95

Here is a video from the 1.88' 60'

I have no idea what happened with the iphone video, sorry. at least you can hear it well.

Thank you. If you like to get rowdy and have a loud a$$ car that turns heads wherever you go then I'd say go for it. I thought the eisenmann race was loud but driving with the down pipes locally is absolutely ridiculous. The backfires are spine shattering. Audio via videos doesn't justify it whatsoever.

That launch was amazing, no wheel spin whatsoever. You would have definitely ran a 11.5-11.4!

Do you have Eisenmann or stock center pipes?

Nice numbers!

Are you sure that the malfunction didn't happen sooner in the run? by the 1,000' mark your run had already slowed down in comparison to your first (maybe the computer had already started pulling timing/boost).

BTW...how did you clear the code?

Excellent showing Sharpie and I can imagine what the sound coming out of that exhaust is like. Drove my car quite a bit this weekend with the catted DP's and I am getting very used the better feel of the throttle.

it maybe did but i felt the power cut down right before the 1/4...it may have been more than what I said...its hard to remember since I was concentrating when going down the 1/4. I used my PLX KIWI WIFI and a cheap $4.99 app from the app store (OBDScanner) to clear the code.

EDIT: You're right I was already 1 second slower by the 1000' mark...which is an even better indication of what my car would've run had this not happened. This car has enough power to be running low 11's with a good launch. I still can't believe I managed a 1.88 on street tires, but the credit goes to the track it was prepped so so well. I took a walk on the track earlier in the day and I'm glad I had my shoes on tight or else they could've easily come off.

You need to let someone else drive your car while you stand there and listen that's if you haven't done that already. You will be amazed of the sounds. I know how it sounds with my car and aftermarket exhaust, I cant wait to see what it will sound like with down pipes.

I say that all the time it's just hard to let someone else drive your car and let them drive it the way that you do lol.

Great times so far, especially with the temps already at 80 deg. Did you do any dyno runs before and after the Eurocharged tune?
