Almost doesn't matter as you can't easily "replace" a "lost" DME , it would require realignment of your EWS etc ... a very costly "event"

Just the thought of that would give me an ulcer when the DME is in transit...

With my luck, I would be the 1 out of 100,000 shipments "misplaces" in a year. Have you ever tried to quickly settle a "lost shipment" claim with any of the major shippers? They have so many "claims disputes" layers that they will wear anyone out (been there a few times at least).

Yeah, I agree. That's what I, clumsically perhaps , meant with PI, even though a distance away, at least is in the same country and customs border etc.

Eurocharged Tunes and CELs

Just got a response from on whether the Eurocharged tune will include the removal of the CEL's should an owner have catless downpipes installed. He said yes, the CEL's can easily be removed.

This seals it for me, and for two other local M5 members, we will be getting the Eurocharged tune versus the PI tune. I just need to find the best deal on the DP's and we will be in business. Anyone else?

I just called them about an hour ago and it seems that they are doing some further testing on the Stage 2 tune at the end of the week. They made it sound like if things go as planned, they may have some tangible info/dyno results by as early as next week. Based on what they were concerned about, it seems like the Stage 2 tune will be substantially more hp than the Stage 1.

I'm between Eurocharged and BMS, I would probably have the Eurocharged tune already.. If they ever picked up their phone.

I called them a few weeks ago and chatted a bit but yeah that kind of bad customer service (even on occasion) is not cool.

Do you know if the others went with the Euro and if they like it if so?

On the fence

I am still on the fence about the tune due to my recent conversations with the Service Manager. Seems that the rash of problems encountered by a couple of customers; BMW NA (and back at the factory) is looking closely at some of these claims with an eye on mods.

Do you mean there were issues with customers cars and they're looking into mods to possibly deny warrantying the work?
