iDrive Reboot

...another day and another issue with my car - 2016 with only 5K miles.

Drive out this morning, the iDrive shutdown with a red error message "Signal Lost", goes dark for 30 seconds and reboots and starts up.

3rd time it has happened in the last month. Anyone experienced the same issue?

Going to take it to the dealer to:

1. Look into iDrive reboot issue
2. Fix the trunk opening only 1/2 way
3. B-Pillar rattle
4. Rattle from the HUD frame

All minor annoyances but still a pain. #1 is the one that scares me the most.

Had a similar issue with the idrive system. Dealer eventually had to replace the entire unit. No problem since. Was covered under warranty. Would be interested if you had the same issue with your system. Good luck with the fixes!

Had it happen once in 11k miles on the current M5. Previous two never had it occur.
