Not sure about forums, but the only dog food I trust is Brother's Complete. It's from Fort Lauderdale but they do free shipping.
It is pricey, but it is so nutrient rich that you can cut down almost in half the amount you feed the dog and they are good to go.
Top tier food.

It is the only food I will feed my dog.

For cats, I would use Chicken Noodle Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul food. Great stuff too.

I feed both of my dogs Blue Buffalo Longevity formula (one is puppy and the other adult). It's got the right mix of proteins and other nutrients for their semi-active lifestyle based on my vet's and breeder's guidance. A lot of calories and protein in an inactive apartment dog or something is pretty silly. My two boys are semi-active large breed dogs, but I still feed them a lower protein content since they don't really need it.

Either way, my dogs are very healthy and are at a healthy weight, so I'll keep feeding them what seems to be working!

I feed mine Nutrisca, either the chicken or lamb. Grain free, no potato or tapioca fillers.

Look into a raw diet.

It doesnt require as much effort as one would think.

I was very skeptical about it, wife pushed it and now I would never ever think of feeding my dogs anything out of a bag.

Even if some of that food is highly rated, it doesn't mean that it'll suit your dog.

For example, we used to use Orijen, but it made their skin really dry and flaky, and they itched a lot. Afterwards we switched to Wellness, and now they have a silky smooth coat and don't have other side-effects like before.

I agree that Orijen is a great choice. High quality protein, never frozen and no preservatives. But I agree that first you should check with your vet.
