Exclamation Best Downpipes

Hi Guys,

There's quite a few options out there for catless downpipes. Is there any out there that are a real cut above the rest? Can titanium be used for downpipes? Which company makes the best?

Ti is expensive (over 1500). I would go with Fabworx or VRSF for the price/quality.

Ok, I remember it was with ER or Fabworx that could do Ti. They do it custom though not off the shelf.

I'd just gut your stock downpipes. Or buy an OEM set off eBay for like $200 and knock the cats out (so you still have your original pipes to put back on).

Sounds awesome and a lot cheaper, better fitment.

When it comes down to it they are all pretty much the same. Some have better welds than others. I would advise wrapping them or ceramic coating, cheap to do before install and helps prevent heat soak through DP's.

Would gutting the stock cats cause issues if the CEL light stays on? Someone mentioned the ECU might cut power? I'm down to gut the stock downpipes but want to make sure leaving the light on won't be a problem

Any major benefit of aftermarket DPs versus say OEM Catless DPs?

None that I'm aware of, in fact, OEM fitment will be perfect and that's a plus versus aftermarket.

Have them wrapped or ceramic coated.

Aftermarket weighs less, that's really the only benefit.

$800+ ($3,300 for catted Capristo!) for an additional 5-10 HP? Vs. OEM fitment and double-walled for heat control.
