Interesting, map pressure showed 33-36 as well

I had a flex fuel gauge on my B8.5 S4 that was stage 3 it definitely made it a lot easier to hit that target of e40 which is what I was running on that thing. But I tried running a bunch of e85 on the M5 just to see how it would run and it ran fine. Probably not the safest thing to do but it did run fine I didn’t try and rev it out though

Yeah I’ve always assumed they’re just showing absolute pressure which it has to be because you deduct 14.7 and it’s sitting right and 21-22psi right on target.

I forgot to get a new one but I do think I may have one from right when I flashed the e30 tune or it may be with the stage 2 91 agg but still either one should help you compare yours to it.

I’m assuming you live in cali hence the 91, you never ran the ACN?

I do live in Cali I’m in the Bay Area. I tried running the ACN map but it felt the same as the stage 1 91 map. I had been just trying to make sure to put in 2 gallons of e85 whenever I could with a fill up. I didn’t always do that though and it still has always run fine so far.

Yeah it was still in efficient mode (not that I think it makes anymore power when your full throttle I’m pretty sure they’re all the same at that point.) I definitely didn’t rev it all the way out though and was only in 2/3 of the shift speed setting.

How does yours look compared to that similar? Kinda hard to tell without a draggy though. Also, are you getting as bad of MPG as me. The most I ever see is like 13-14 with mixed freeway and city driving. I am fairly hard on it though. As you see in that video it’s only getting 11.1 there lol

Lol I wish I get 13-14, I usually average about 9

Pulls are like you said difficult to compare, dragy times would definitely help

Haha yeah mine is typically around 10-11 unless I’m doing more freeway driving than city.

I try not caring about the gas because it definitely does depend on how heavy your foot is

I’m not saying that with absolute certainty but it was definitely a noticeable difference vs the normal 91 map. Im telling you give it a shot as long as your not revving it out too far or keeping it on there too long I’ve never had an issue with it. Really I would just go straight Ti the e30 map and just throw the e85 in there and you’ll see how much better it feels.

I agree I’m not typically commuting with my
M5 anyways so I look at it like when I’m driving my M5 I’m having fun so it’s like a pleasure expense like going tonth movies or something like that but instead of going to the movies I spend that money on lots of fuel lol

I do tend to race my car so revving it out I mean, I don’t take it insanely deep onto redline as there’s no point the turbos slow down after around 6500 I believe, so I always shift around there. I’m just debating if I just wait for a custom e30 tune or go with bootmod’s, but yes I do drive my car fairly hard

Yeah I’d love to get a custom ethanol tune. I’m somewhat interested in eventually swapping the F90 HPFP’s in then getting a custom tune that way I can have it the ability to run more ethanol. It’s just so much easier just having to put one fuel in your car no doubt. Or as you previously said having the gauge to be able to know what your exact percentage is makes getting the target e content makes the experience of running e so much more pleasant vs trying to manually figure it out. But ultimately the ability to have the car full flex fuel where you can just add as much e85 as you want in and the computer can just get the tune dialed in all on its own by reading the e content would be the best I see they make that for the b58’s on bootmod3 now maybe one day they’ll make it for our motors too lol. I just installed a full set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2’s on my M5 yesterday and boy did that make a huge difference for me with traction. I had to take my 10mm spacers off the back though since I went with 305/30/20’s even though the pirellis I had on were the same size for some reason the cup 2’s must be either a little bit wider or the sidewall may be thicker but it was slightly rubbing when I’d hit bigger bumps where the pirellis never rubbed.

I’d reccomend spool performance HPFP Instead of the f90 ones. I was planning on getting these and upgrading the LPFP as well to run full e85 but I couldn’t find 100% support on this matter, so I still haven’t done it, one guess said all you need is the fuel pumps, then the other said you need fuel pumps + injectors. It’s a project I plan on tackling just not yet. Also how are you hooking on the cup 2’s? I used to run them on my stock tune but currently I’m on a nitto nt05
