2500 miles service? What?

I read this more than once
I had my initial 1200 miles service at 1500 miles and now with 3k+ miles on car I keep reading people talking about another service @ 2500 miles?

Is it factory recommended?
Why car is not telling me?

P.S I hate M5 in the rain and only then I wished I had gotten E63S AMG or Audi RS7 -
Spinning tires can be fun as much as annoying if very rainy day and yesterday was in NC.

No service at 2500 miles, run inservice at 1200 then is case based from then on.

It rains all the time in the UK on newish tyres shouldn't be a problem, although give yourself more distance for braking....

You're a pussy and shouldn't be driving an M5 if you don't know how to drive it in the rain.

You can drift without ruining your tires in the rain.
