Does the interior carbon fiber trim scratch?

I'm considering upgrading the interior to the carbon fiber trim. I noticed this included the center console? Since this finish is glossy will it scratch easily? Thanks

Yes. So does the wood. The issue isn't the trim, it's the coating BMW uses.

Most scratch resistent trim is the Aluminum, or to special order a matte trim via Individual (v expensive, but matte carbon fiber would look amazing I'm sure).

I wonder if IND could paint a matte clear coat on the Carbon Fiber trim to solve your problem?

Thanks Stealth.

I will definitely bring up the Matte carbon fiber trim when I visit the Welt, since I had already planned on the carbon fiber trim interior for my car.

I couldn't stand the micro scratches on my 550 - i was very careful and it was impossible to prevent. Seems the screen and instrument cluster scratches easily as well. I have been very pleased w/ the aluminum. Matte carbon fiber....that would be nice.
