I'm was about 1 quart every 1000 miles up to about 4000 miles. I've got 6000 now and since the 4000 mark it's fine.

I just had the break in service at 1550 miles and have burned 0 oil so far. Including a 500 mile interstate trip with multiple high speed runs. Did a hard break in , lots of WOT to 5500 rpm once the engine was warm and lots of engine braking in multiple gears from mile 1. If you seat the rings these engines don't have to burn oil. Most peoples issues are due to babying the car during break in then going out at 1200 miles and suddenly flooring it to redline every gear even when the motor is cold.

I drove mine too cautiously for first 155 miles then as you did above for next 1100 miles (without the high speed runs). 1/2 of the oil gone. Seems as though initial miles are the important ones if you don't want the high oil consumption, at least during break in.

I'm back to driving gently most of the time, so will be interesting to see if the oil consumption reduces...

Your right, did the same as you on mine and A/ it's very fast and B/ burns NO Oil.
Also NO Soot in the exhaust pipes at all, you can put your finger in and wipe it and Nothing no black stuff.
