Wahoo! Spring has finally arrived for the Northeast US

For the Northeast, this weekend marked an important turning point for those of us driving on winter tires (pun intended). The overnight temps were consistently below the all important 40 degree mark last week and are forecasted to be above 40 degrees going forward. So this weekend I swapped the summer wheels back on, and added the "preferred" spacer set-up of 12mm front / 10mm rear. I love the more aggressive look/stance the spacers provide. Attached are a few pictures from different angles.

I also upgraded the storage of my winter wheel set. I ordered wheel hangers and wheel totes from Griot's Garage and added some foam pipe insulation from Home Depot to store/protect my winter wheels. For anyone thinking about wheel storage options the GG wheels hangers are very well made. The wheel post is welded to a large backing plate, which when combined with the included 4" mounting bolts results in a solid installation.

Thanks Sam. You'll be amazed at how such a little change can dramatically change the look of the car. Pictures don't capture the full impact; you'll be pleasantly surprised when you see it in person. Once you get them on, stand about 10 - 15 feet behind the car - the widened stance is menacing. I took a picture from the rear but didn't realize until I got to the office today that the car had cast a shadow in the picture that completely obscured the intended shot.

Previously I just had them on the floor perpendicular to the wall and they took up too much space, so going flush on the wall makes a huge difference in the usability of my 3rd garage bay. I went with the "staggered" layout on the wall to avoid having two hangers in the same stud.

Have you experienced any steering vibration with spacers on?

Looks great, like a subtle but noticeable difference. Would love to see some rear views.

I've got a slight vibration that only occurs around 90 to 95 mph. I'm not sure if it's attributable to the spacers or not.

I just went out and took a couple more shots for you.

Macht Schnell.

Try to see the 12 / 10 setup in person before you buy. Sometimes I think the 12 is a little too much up front and 10 would be better.

No way for me to see them in person. I'll have to rely on photos from the forum and the opinions of discerning drivers such as yourself

Don't want to bee too agressive so think the 10/10 setup will work best for me.

Thx much.
