Lol no! M5 non comp pack = 560hp and M5 comp pack = 575hp.
600Hp comp pack is an option on the M6 only.
It's an upgrade for M6 non comp pack owners and BMW will release it for the M5 shortly per the post.
Save your $1000 bucks, spend $1800 and get a full ecu flash which will get you 640-660hp to the wheels (depending upon stage and supporting mods). thumbsup:

It's a DME Programming Update with FSC Enabling Code. The retrofit procedure for M5's is also in the diagnostic database but no P/N has been released yet. Will require the same production date restriction though. For someone who wants just a little more power, this is a fairly inexpensive option (found as low as $890 plus labor), and has zero issues with warranty.

Is there any confirmation that the 575>600hp power bump will be available for the M5 as well? Any BMW language stating this or is it just speculation (which would make sense.. same motors).

It would be nice to see it across the power band instead of only at the very end (like how the CP package power increase is programmed).

I sent an email for confirmation/clarification since the following is in ISTA/P(D) - Conversions/retrofit:

Power Kit M M5 S63B44 (tu) (MEVD1728) 0097 (AppID 151) 0001 Download ASAP
Power Kit M M5 S63B44 (tu) (MEVD1728) 0098 (AppID 152) 0001 Download ASAP

The peculiar thing about these is application for MEVD1728. M6 CP600 and 30J, along with 7.2014 later build S63TU/TU2 use MEVD172H DME.

The M6 Retrofit is new in ETK (within the past week) as it wasn't there last week when I was looking for something else in the same group nor does it show in the version of ISTA I have installed. If the Internet connection here wasn't so slow, I'd update and see what AppID it's assigned and if a newer one for M5 exists.

Interested to see if this will be avaliable to the first F10 - 2012 onwards. It will be nice to run the CP+ with JB4.

Does it come with limiter delete?

In game purchases

This is a bit annoying - reminds me of in-game purchases. I just paid for the Comp package and now any joe blow with a non comp car can pay a grand and get more hp that surpasses the comp package? Hey BMW - instead of trying to squeeze every dime out of your loyal customers maybe you should provide the update for a nominal charge.

The comp package had lots more to offer than just 15 extra horsepower... in fact, thats probably the smallest upgrade in the package!

This is not conversion from standard to comp but an upgrade from CP575 to CP600.

M Driver's Pack VMax increase to 305km/h (there isn't a full OE delete due to the transmission) has and continues to be separate. US, CAN, and UK dealers are not able to request this retrofit.

From what I've read, it does not look like you can upgrade from non-comp to this CP600.

I'm in the process of ordering my Azurite/Silverstone M5 and I'm on the fence about the Competition Package(CP575). I'm thinking that the std M5 will be good enough as I'm using it more as a Luxury Platform. If I want all out sport performance I'll jump on one of my bikes.

Exactly ! I drove a 2013 M5 for 3 years and have a 2016 M5 CP + CCB now for a week and almost everything seems better.

Better steering, suspension, handling, braking etc. etc. It is like having a whole new generation car.
