If you look at the F30 M Sport and of course the M6, this is the direction BMW is headed.
Ah I see. So it's not official, but it does have some merit through research. Good job. I would wait and see if it does become official though. The only thing I really want from the M6 is wheel are those dang paddle shifters anyways. Lol!

Well, it came from BMW M GmbH, so it's pretty official. The parts catalog just confirmed what was already mentioned.

Those wheels really complement the car in white. Tastefully done. Must be a one happy owner.

I'm sure that many of us are thinking the same thing . . .

Hope of that svelte M6 steering wheel was one of the main reasons that I had planned to wait for the MY14 LCI (before I took a great deal on a MY13). Now that I see it in the M5, it doesn't seem to look quite right.

The sleek M6 interior may fit that wheel better than the more "chunky" M5 one.

I cant decide, but if anything, its not going to be something to make me regret not waiting. Maybe its the angle, but the horn portion of the m6 wheel looks strange to me. Ive never seen or held the m6 steering wheel, but the first thing I noticed at my ED last week was how nice the m5 wheel felt, not being overly large in diameter as well. Perhaps they are both the same size, but I think I might like whats in it now better.

It's funny. When I first saw the steering wheel in the M6, I thought (and still think) it looked incredible, and I was worried that I would regret my MY13 decision if it migrated to the M5. But when I got in and started driving the M5, its wheel just looked and felt so right to me.

But as you said, I now absolutely know that I won't regret my decision due to the steering wheel.

Thank you for the love guys. This has been a great project so far and working with the owner has been awesome. I have really high res pictures if anyone wants one, just shoot me a PM.

I love the steering wheel, it is nice to see BMW going back to sleek wheel again. You have to see it in person, it looks great with the F10. Looking forward to the next phase of changes to finish the whole look.
