Have the OEM 20's. Need to get new tires soon. Will the 305/275 combo upgrade fit on the OEM wheels?

Has anyone actually put 305's on the rear stock 20"s? Any issues?

I found some things on Google from others saying they tried it and it fits with the OEM but nothing specific.. Wondering the same for OEM rims..

Manufacturer recommendation for PSS 305/30/20 is 10.5-11.5" rim's width!
If your rims are 343M 2TY which is 10.5" wide in rear and 9.5" in front, then this tire can be fitted in rear side, but for 343M 2NZ it's not fit. I recently had this tire installed. It looks aggressive and if you look at pictures, you see the wall is about 0.5" out of the edge of rims which is kinda protection for rim from curb rash lol

Correction: Looks like 2NZ is light color and 2TY is black! both forged rims. The 343M in M5 and M6 have different part number.
in M5 9x20 front 10x20 rear
in M6 9.5x20 front 10.5x20 rear

Thanks for the details, just looked up my Competition Package build and it turns out they have the 2NZ on them so it looks like it won't work.. Frustrating my Competition rims are the 2NZ rims, same as my non competition package M5.

Hmm, these will barely fit on the black 343Ms then. Is you're car lowered or is that standard for the M6? Any problem with rubbing? Are you running 265's on the front or something wider? Looks good!

Want to make sure I am tracking, are the pictures you shared of the tires mounted of the 2TY, or 2NZ? Another poster mentioned the 2TY are black, wondering if I made a bad assumption about your pictures being of the 2TY.

It's standard M6. No I have no issue with rubbing. It looks good and I feel noticeable better traction! I couldn't find PSS 275 for front so I went with the original 265!

Actually I think I have to make a correction! Looks like 2NZ is light color and 2TY is black color and it's not about size
Here is 343M for M5:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...43&hg=36&fg=15

For both 2NZ and 2TY it's 9x20 front 10x20 rear!

Here is 343M for M6:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...43&hg=36&fg=15

For both 2NZ and 2TY it's 9.5X20 front, 10.5x20 rear!

Thanks for clarifying, I had no idea the 343Ms were different between the M5 and M6...

Old thread but... Anyone care to share their experience going to 305/30 20s on stock M5 (10x20) wheels?

I'm replacing my originals soon.

Recommended minimum width on a 305 is 10.5 inches. So that's why not many folks out there with this size on a oem M5 343.

Thank you... I understand the "recommended" width. But if you look at the ratio of 295mm to 10" rim and 305mm to 10.5" rim and the actual fit of PSS on our stock rims, I don't see an issue with adding 10mm (5mm each side).

So again, if anyone who's actually done this would like to chime in. Please do. .
