Noelle Motors Hi-Flow Cats/Downpipes Installed on Comp Pkg 14'
During my ED I purchased some high flow catts/ Catted downpipes from Noelle Motors. I know Coldlist has a set on his M6 and a few others in ATL.
I packed them in my suitcase and was worried they would not make stateside but they did. Yes...I did claim them and pay duties too, they were not too bad. EuroCharged in Houston did the install. John, the operations manager/sr tech, Darren and tommy boy were great. The job took about 3 hrs with two guys working it. They labeled bolts, made torques lines, and took great care during removal and install. I felt like I was working on the car. These guys know what they are doing. The cars sounds noticeably louder and you can hear the turbos wind down. I have not left the shop yet so i can comment on the power diff during my drive home. It may take a few miles and start stops for the car to adapt. I just want to point out to all the Akra fans... My exhaust changes colors too =) thats why i took that pic. Has a nice purple haze had to capture. Last edited by Spinny02; 12-05-2013 at 04:10 PM.. |

yes, he cut out the cats and replaced the stock 600cels with a 400cel and 300 cel. Comparing the stock vs the modified you can really tell the diff in cells. Thats the photo with both in it. If you zoom in you will see the cel counts.

Sorry to bring this thread back up, but I wanted to ask Spinny if he can give us a review on the DPs. is there is no CEL lights? what about extra power? What about service, did they know they were not stock DPs? Here, I am very worried that it will void my warranty.

The sounds is great paired with the comp pack exhaust and you can really hear the turbos now. With a Groupo M intake the sound would improve even more. The cold start up is insane. After the car warms up it has a noticable bump in growl and tone but its not ridiculous.

@Spinny02 Do you hear any type of waste gate rattle? Any odd noise at all coming sharply off full throttle?
I know you have the OEM CP exhaust. Would you say it's slightly louder, double as loud, or much louder? Also do you notice the car engine brakes much better with these installed? I have Akra exhaust, no headers. I am thinking these might be the safest route to go because they are so close to OEM. I don't want to have any of that waste gate rattle.

I would say the sound is double as loud now with cp ex. I have not notice faster engine braking but you can hear the turbos for outside the car. I have been on the fence about getting the akra. There is one used for sale in Houston now but I can't bring myself to spend the coin. I think the akra and these DPs would be an ideal setup!
