Since the start I have not reset my computer and the average mileage shows 23.5 mpg which is slightly better than I was expecting. Mostly spirited back road driving.
Done 4000 miles.

Garage List
2024 BMW X7 M60  [10.00]
3,500 miles averaging 15.3mpg.

Only 1 long road trip and I got around 19mpg for that.

I have a heavy foot and didn't buy the car for the fuel economy.

I'm not really concerned with MPG but I am concerned with the negative effects of the gas available in the US. Thus I've started using Archoil AR6200.

This is driving in sport+, sport+ and sport with D3. Highly recommended!

Why Use AR6200 Fuel Modification Complex?

And yes, I drive it like I stole it!

18 with cruising and lots of mashing... Been 16.8 since the BMS... I've seen it as high as 22 when I was learning the car for the first 3k miles [driving like this would not be why I'd buy an m5 lol].

I haven't paid too much attention to the gas mileage on my M5, but it really doesn't seem to be much worse than I get with my X1 35i.

I agree if you own a 560hp car fuel shouldn’t be your deciding factor but I for one can afford an M5 and have ordered one but that doesn’t mean I can afford to fill the tank up 4 times a week every week. In the UK that would mean £1600 a month just on fuel alone! BTW I know that is a bit of an extreme example.
I am sure you could all afford a lambo's and Ferraris if you wanted them but I bet you say to yourself (I couldn’t because of the running costs).
There are people out there that stretch themselves to own their dream car (maybe it’s an M5) and we shouldn’t forget that.
wow. you guys are paying too much for gas in Europe. if we want to fill the gas 4 times a week in California, we have to pay about $1400 a month.

I am afraid here in the UK we are being "Taxed to death and beyond", the average price of fuel per gallon at the moment is £6:18P

If you can afford an M5 in the Netherlands, then fuel is the least of your worries.

m5 136k euro starting price is crazy, but have u seen prices for x6m in NL? starting price is 190k euro!

fully loaded m6gc specced individually from stitching to paint job wouldn't cost that much in uk! its priced as the most expensive M car in NL, when everywhere else its M6 cabrio!

but they shouldn't have a problem of driving 1 hour to nearest city in germany and order same car 25% cheaper (m5) / 40% cheaper (x6m) / ...

You are forgetting two important things when buying a vehicle in the Netherlands: the taxes (BPM and BTW). So a 80,000 Euro X5 30d would end up costing you 112,000 after BPM and BTW.

interesting. Here in US X6M and M5 are almost the same price and about $20K cheaper than M6
