Misfire ?

So I was driving on freeway going 85 mph on 3rd gear... power started to cut out and car went into limp mode. Pulled over and turned off car , and turned it back on. Car has driven fine ever since. Anytime I've had this issue happen, there's usually been a faulty coil or spark plug... but usually the limp mode will come back often. It hasn't come back ever since the first time it happen. So I guess what I'm asking is can your car misfire without an actual spark plug or coil not needing to be replaced?

That's what I would guess. Unless a tune caused the error thencar was reset

Just a fluke or bad gas. Your fine.

That will provide you with some answers; you can pick up a code scanner very inexpensively that will provide good data.

That's way overkill...

I'm at almost 15k on original plugs, no issues to date. Tuned since 100 miles.

+1 except for the plug interval...if you drive like a normal person 20k Miles is ok....I know, I know that's the hard part.

I think 20 to 30 for a tuned car is a safe bet. I don't use meth, octane booster, or any of that kind of stuff - this may reduce interval mileage.

I recommend replacing with NGK plugs, the stock Bosch plugs I've seen have issues with the ceramic and blow by with less than 2K miles of use.
