certainly did not sound as high revving as i'd hoped but nonetheless still got my adrenaline and spine tingling.

If course it is not high reving. Redline is at 7.100 rpm, it will feel the same as the redline 4.500 rdeline of a diesel. This a side, M can do good things, but can't do exhausts. Well at least now they start doing brakes that are workthy being called so. How is it AMG turbos sound still good, Porsche turbos also, but M's not? Buy the way did anybody hear how does the 1M sound? Does is sound like a 135i Performance?

Can't wait. For me, aesthetically, the non-M F10 crushes the e60 already.

I know folks are split on the styling of the e60 vs. the e39 but I'd love to see the full evolution of the e39 shark nose M5 resurgence.

I might be wrong but it looks like its an animation. The exhaust note is nothing to what ive heard of when testing on the ring

Well the car is filmed in a tunnel, which should enhance the sound.

It will not sound 1% as good as the S85. It is impossible.

Plus we basically know a general idea of what it will sound like, from the X5M/X6M. Which are actually very quiet vehicles, when compates to other M-cars.

That being said, I think with the ///1M, and ///M3 power delivery (i.e. FI, NA, high-revving, etc) and sound are more crucial to the cars success then with the ///M5. Listen, nothing will be as epic as the S85 in terms of rawness, sound and linkage to motor sports. However, most people who purchase in this segment probably would rather have characteristics of a lower revving engine with tons of power being accessible without having to work the engine too much, and something with a exhaust note that isn't too "raucous" for when they arrive to a business meeting. So as much as I hate to admit it, a lower revving, FI, high torque engine is probably more suitable for the ///M5's clientele.

Cheers,

if oyu rip the video and play it frame by frame - you get a pretty OK look at the front end. From what I see, it almost looks like it has preLCI e90 splitters on the front bumper, I like the front

Why doe a vacuum cleaner need 600 horsepower? I find that useless..unless you wanna drag race a Veyron with a vacuum cleaner. You'd actually have a chance at winning.
