I'm Baaaaaak.....
After years of alternating M5 and M3 ownership, I'm finally back in Beast mode! I was waiting for the '14 LCI, but I got a hell of a deal on a fully optioned vehicle. I didn't want to go another summer waiting on one, and I have to instruct at a school at Mosport next weekend, so I pulled the trigger. I absolutely love the 6MT. I know the DCT is an unfair advantage on the track, but the 6MT makes it a MUCH more involving daily drive. I installed the IND/Rogue short shifter, and it makes this car perfect. True muscle car experience. I went to Toronto this weekend to try to get the break-in process accelerated, and was blown away at how the speed limit camera converts the KM/HR sign info into MPH in the HUD! I do have the dreaded B&O center speaker rattle though. Hoping there's a fix for that soon. Night vision...meh. So far, only mods are painted M performance rear spoiler (thanks M54ccibo!), IND front reflectors and rear M5 trunk badge. Waiting for IND side markers and RKP front lip. I didn't do the front grill yet, betting that the LCI grill will fit the '13s. Waiting to see how Boots' exhaust mod turns out before I venture into that arena. Seriously considering the Turner. Let the mods begin...

Good luck with your beast. I love and hate the DCT. I kinda wish I had another car that was manual so I can get more intimate with driving. Anyway, I hhave been having the B&O rattle and I am awaiting a new center channel and two main door speakers under warranty. I would talk to your dealer. There is absolutely no excuse after paying $3700 that any type of vibration or rattle come out of it.

Very Nice. I am sure that the deal you got now is better than the deal a lot of us got in the beginning.

Excellent!!!! One more member of the "I was waiting for the '14 LCI, but . . . " club of value shoppers. And the IND/Rogue ssk is a perfect, must have mod for us 6MTers. You're the only other member I know that's had it installed.
Congrats. Enjoy, but watch out for those RCMP types. They can be a nasty lot!!

Congrats man. Sounds like a good deal. I would wait for Boots if I were you. The RPi GTM and the Turner Motorsport exhaust sound completely different, and in my (biased) opinion (Lol!) I think that the RPi GTM sounds much better because it is a full system, plus theres more power gains.

Totally transforms the shifting experience. Especially 1-2.

You wont have to wait for long bro and congrats on your car. Mine will arrive on wednsday and install test/video and post up on thursday. When I listen to peoples exhaust, I put on the headphones. I don't use my computer speakers. So whatever you decide to purchase, I hope my review helps you out if you or whoever decides to purchase a Rpi. It was Daves video that sold me on it.

Welcome back to the M5 club. I remember you from the M5 Board.
Glad to hear about the significant inprovement the SS kit makes with the manual tranny. I drove the M6 GC manual at the Austin, Tx preview event and wanted to like it more than I did.....

Yeah, at first with the manual, you forget how much additional "work" is involved in driving. But after a couple of days, you realize how fantastic it is to "row your own". I tend to use Sport Plus, as I like to rev match, and for me a perfectly timed downshift is fantastic. And a power shift in this car is Nirvana! I took a DCT out for an extended test drive, and after a while, it felt pretty sterile. And believe it or not, I actually like stop/start in heavy traffic. You can take your foot off the clutch and brake and relax.
